[history]
Anti-war demonstrators who are arrested in the future in San Francisco will have something more in common than a shared passion. Many of them will probably be taken away in handcuffs made of braided nylon that their manufacturer touts as "the inescapable choice in disposable restraints."

Do they make one with a single loop about 1/2 neck size when fully tightened?

Well, if they don't have a permit I'm all for it.

It looks like San Francisco got the answer to who's going to pay for public protests in their city. LMAO
To: American Preservative
Now, if they could only dispose of the protestors once they were in the cuffs.....

This doesn't bother the protesters... most of these freaks in San Fancisco are into that bondage and humiliation anyway. Heck, they'll be getting busted for the thrill of it all.

....Anti-war demonstrators....
The FReeper Interesting Times taught the world today from his interview on Fox and Friends that the correct term for the event is "Peace Riots". Hence "Peace Rioters" is the correct term for the participants.

Previous reports indicated that the majority of the protesters weren't from SF, though, they just game to town to start trouble.
Personally, I think that a better solution would have been for the police to announce that they would not arrest or charge anyone who ran over a protester who was lying in the middle of the road.

A boom in restraint sales in S.F. How unusual.
To: American Preservative
In terms of price, the cuffs are cheap -- at Tuff-Tie, it's about $1.50 per restraint, less when they are purchased in bulk. Smith & Wesson metal handcuffs can cost from $28 to $45 or more,Disposables may be attractive considering the budgetary constraints that Willie Brown is facing, but one should not ignore the many bargains that are available on the second-hand market.

Ping!
Do ya think the "appeaseniks" say, "I went to 'protest' in Frisco and all I got was this lousy "tie!"?
Maybe the companies should make up some tie-dyed ones and call them "Frisco Specials." Or, how about - S.F."P.eace"-anticsD.etainers. : )

This money could have been used for sending toiletries and other things to our troops over there.
