Iraqi line dancing! Cool! Can you hear the music?
Don't tell my heart
my achy breaky heart.
I just don't think he'd understand.
And if you tell my heart
my achy breaky heart
might blow up and kill this man.
Oh, wait...Baath guys don't HAVE hearts in the first place...Must be a different song.

Diogenesis, your photo journal always makes the monitor foggy.
Never stop.

The leader of the "Bridge Rescue", I believe his rank is LTC. Cris Carter, is a childhood friend of my hubby. He was floored when he saw him on TV, introduced him as "LTC Cris Carter of Watkinsville GA". My in-laws have talked to his parents, and they were thrilled to not only get to see their son, but to get to see him in such a heroic way!

Won't be long now Diogenesis, all those people will soon be safe and free. I'm just so proud of the troops, they are doing a magnificent job.

Thank you Dio,great pictures.
I have been playing the pc video game"Battlefield 1942" and in the mission "Operation Market Garden" there is a bridge exactly like this one in the game.Maybe it's a coincidence I played this mission exactly at the time the coalition took this bridge.(Altough in real life it is NOT a game. In real life people die.)
