[history]
March 31, 2003 -- WASHINGTON- The U.S.-led coalition has destroyed "a massive terrorist facility" in northern Iraq that al Qaeda may have used to make the deadly ricin found in London, Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Richard Myers revealed yesterday.
He said some of the bodies found there are "most likely al Qaeda," which could offer a link between Iraq and Osama bin Laden's terror network.

Ignorance may be Blix, but this new set of 'inspectors' seems to be doing much better...
To: kattracks
The left could care less if the ricin was going to be put in British TROOPS food!! The British left also want to see their soldiers come home in Body Bags. Evil.

I agree. These new "hands on" inspections are much more efficient. ;)

Kattracks, thanx for the post.
The good general is leaning a bit, and now he's visibly putting the onus on his people in the field to come up with stocks of ricin. Actually, if I were one of those field personnel, I wouldn't be real excited about the possibility of being the guy who actually found it, if you follow my drift, and I sure wouldn't appreciate the pressure to accelerate the search, which opens the door for sloppiness and an accident.
When you get down to cases, if they think ricin was being produced in that place, then what are they doing tramping around all over it, after the Navy and Air Force bombed the hell out of it? Seems like searching that camp would be a job for the Polish and Romanian chemical troops that recently showed up down in Kuwait, or for some of ours.

Impossible. Blix said the Iraqis don't have this. Daschle and KKK Byrd said there was no evidence of terrorists. I just can not believe this story.</sarcasm off

I am saddened, saddened, and deeply concerned, that ricin was found in northern Iraq.

Please note the last quote about ricin is not directly attributed to Myers. In fact it's a stand alone.
To: cgk
I prewfer to think of them as inspection in force ;>)
