Calm down. All these "embedded reporters" have been instructed by the military on what they can or can't say. If they fail to abide by these guidelines, the military will pull the plug on them.
As for Geraldo, I think he's showboating. I usually get very annoyed watching his reports.

My jaw hit the floor when I heard him give the plan away with times and locations. I was wondering if any one else saw this and was as shocked as I was? What is Fox thinking?
To: lewislynn
The sooner FOX dumps him, the better.

Chill, man. Geraldo had an epiphany when 70 of his friends perished on 9-11. He's alright now. I hated him before.
I am impressed with your use of the language (WTF?) you sound like ME!

He's not saying anything that can't be said.

ITs like he is exploiting the soldiers he is with. MAking them stand around him while the camera is on.
Id hate to get between him and a camera...

While I consider Geraldo still on probation, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't say anything he wasn't cleared to say. If I'm wrong, I'm sure he'll be taken out of the country in cuffs.

Listen to Rivera's reports to find out everything is all about him, all the time. Besides, his nose is bigger than he is. So there.

These guys are being closely watched. The Pentagon ordered the Christian Science Monitor reporter back to the US last week due to his big mouth.
To: lewislynn
It's OK. Geraldo is just telling the Iraqis exactly what CENTCOM wants them to hear...
To: lewislynn
One of Geraldo biggest problems is his ego. He is there to put on a show. Have you noticed everytime FOX goes to him he has an audience, while the other embedded reporters are reporting on the troops and the war.
Heeeeeere's Geeeerrrraldo!

Arnett is seriously lost.
We are just in the beginning of this War.
They will call his effing BS "objective reporting".
We see what the truth is.
The man is an effing traitor, and he encourages our adversaries.
He is a sick bastard.
The reports that he submits are destructive to the morale of our Troops.
Screw that Human Shield.
I am sick and tired of these assholes.
So called Journalists.
They think that we are all stupid.

All of the embedded reporters are being told what they can and cannot say, as regarding location, and times....and they know if they breach this, the military will get rid of them...
A few days ago, one reporter who was embedded, was asked to leave, because he gave out information, that he was not supposed to....I cannot remember the name of the reporter, just that it did happen...
So altho you may not like Geraldo, on this score you are wrong about your perceiving that he did wrong...
And if he was in the wrong, ,he will get booted out...
To: lewislynn
Perhaps, if Geraldo makes the wrong move, a friendly fire incident may occur that turns off the lights for ole Geraldo. I don't believe he's doing something that isn't approved. If so, he'd have been brain-stemmed some time ago.
To: lewislynn
Geraldo is the anti-Arnet. Don't discount him willingly participating in a mis-information campaign for the troops. His information about the resupply route going through Basra, as well as the location of Basra, was bogus.
To: lewislynn
Calm down!
Geraldo has done nothing wrong. His support for the troops, for PresBush and for the USA has been solid since 9-11.
OTOH, Peter Arnett is a traitor!
To: lewislynn
I shot off an email to FNC asking them if what he did was sanctioned by the military. I would've taken a screenshot, but when I saw it I wasn't thinking "ooh I gotta get a shot of this" I was thinking "what the F**K is he thinking?!?!".

The troops he is with are probably telling him huge lies about where they are, just to amuse themselves. They could be training in the Australian outback and that moron would report that they were on the Iraqi frontlines.

If Geraldo says anything he's not allowed to say, he'll be kicked out of the unit and possibly even shipped home (and Fox might even fire him; I doubt other networks would fire their reporters for such a mistake). One reason they might want him talking is because they want the Republican Guard to attempt an attack. And it could in part be misinformation, as well. It's not like we can keep our locations a perfect secret; the next best thing is to spread disinfo to confuse the enemy.
