US soldiers in Iraq asked to pray for Bush
ABC News Online ^ | Sunday, March 30, 2003. | ABC News Online

They may be the ones facing danger on the battlefield, but US soldiers in Iraq are being asked to pray for President George W Bush......

The pamphlet, produced by a group called In Touch Ministries, offers a daily prayer to be made for the US president, a born-again Christian who likes to invoke his God in speeches.....

Sunday's is "Pray that the President and his advisers will seek God and his wisdom daily and not rely on their own understanding"....

Monday's reads "Pray that the President and his advisers will be strong and courageous to do what is right regardless of critics"....

This post is for Pentagon planners. Make sure the soldiers take one day of each week, preferably Sunday, to rest, pray, and meditate, and God will send a number of Angels into the field of battle to protect our troops, and cause our enemies to become totally confused and surrender.

his God? Silly me, I thought God was everybody's God.

Of course, at ABC their God may be money, socialism, hedonism, or God knows what.

Most media people don't think they HAVE a God (according to polls, the vast majority of them aren't believers of any persuasion).
When they find out they're wrong, they ain't gonna be happy.

PING I just have to tell you guys...Skee & Skinner (the only two liberal talk show hosts on WLS AM in Chicago) brought this up on there one time a week show today (that's all WLS will give them, and I intened on writing to WLS' program manager and requesting they pull their show and replace it with Teri O'Brien or Deborah Rowe) And of course they repeated the slanted headline making it appear that it was the government who did it, and you can imagine the barrage of calls.....I dutifully dialed & dialed & dialed and FINALLY got through and gave them a piece of my mind for not only being liberally slanted in their reporting but for proppegating the biased initially reported by NOT mentioning the source of the pamphlets. They said "well our government gave them approval to be there" I said, so, they gave the liberal media approval to be there too...Anyhow..basically they couldn't handle the debate (I was a little "loud" and ticked off...felt good to give a liberal media dork a piece of my mind) and not being able to give any intelligent answer for their reasoning, they disconnected me. Figures, Sean Hannity lets RAGler run on and on b/c he(Ragler) makes himself look stupid, libs cut off us conservatives because they fear being made stupid! They slanted it this way to try and fire up libs on the fence....they are grasping at straws to make hay for themselves....when will they just give up??????

Oh yeah....and as good as it felt to scold them....it wasn't very satisfying b/c you know that they don't care (see tag line).

I just sent this letter to the GM of WLS AM:

I was very disappointed in Skee & Skinner this afternoon, they furthered a liberally slanted bias on a news story by not reporting the WHOLE story on the announcement. Those who rely on you for their only source of news might get the wrong idea. It was in regards to the leafletts distributed by a third party missionary organization. I have been a committed WLS listener for about 12 years. I realized you are trying to give equal time to the liberals, however that time slot would be better served with an additional time period from Teri O'Brien or Deborah Rowe. Your audiance is LARGELY independents, middle of the roads or conservatives...Skee & Skinner turn a lot of those listeners off and force them to switch the dial on Sunday afternoons. I will not be listening to your station any longer on Sunday afternoons until that show is replaced and I have many friends that feel the same way. There's enough liberal slants in the rest of the media, we don't need it from the forum we've come to trust. Your station is regularly taughted & promoted on www.freerepublic.com as a good source of unbiased news & talk show commentary. This show is the only downfall in your programming.

You think they'll listen?????

SIDE NOTE....ROTFL....talking to one of my friends in the military and he said this:

Friend*: One things for sure, when everything is over and done with, this will make a helluva cool computer game.

me: lmfao

me: named..............

me: Shock & Awe

me: I'm sure it's already in the development

Friend*: Yeah, and the best part will be you can kill the Media in this game. LOL

me: lmfao

Friend*: Send a couple Cruise missles up old Peter Jennings shorts......H**LYEAH!

Friend*: And the Dixie Chicks will all perform for the troops. LMFAO

*friend's name changed to protect the insane :o)

sorry, forgot the rest of the conversation...he basically said that when the Dixie Chicks performed for the troops, the troops sent an RPG through the big one's mouth...

Nothing like a non-violent video game....

Don't yell at me...we were just funning.... ;o)

In touch ministries has been very outspoken in support of this JUST war. They have even provided scripture that shows it is righteous to fight the kind of evil we face in Iraq.

Not only that, but they have put out prayers for the troops and for the President.

Dr. Stanley (the minister for In Touch) is awesome. He is Baptist..and even though that isn't the church we attend and are members of (we are Presbyterian), our church used his scriptures and website to have a discussion about war. We even printed his prayers for the service members and their families and are using them.

NOW THAT Is Christians coming together!!

When I'm too ill to go to Church (which can be often) We watch Dr. Stanley. He is absolutely AWESOME!!

HAHAHAHAHA! Love the "Shock and Awe" computer game idea. How about it have a concert with the Dixie Chick(en)s, Sheryl Crow and Madonna, hosted by Michael Moore with all the Hollywierdos in the audience - and we get to drop a MOAB on 'em???? hahahaha

Peter Arnett needs a Tomahawk up his butt too for his comments on Iraqi state TV about how he is helping the anti-war movement grow.

Oh, and could we please add that treasonous Professor at Columbia who says he wishes for a 'million Mogadishus'???

And the idiot peacenik protestors?

And Tommy Dashole, and Hitlery, and Jesse Jackson, and ..........

Damn! I thought the enemy in Operation Iraqi Freedom were supposed to be Iraqi's!
