Chanting "USA! USA!" about 150 people, mostly students at the University of Minnesota, rallied outside Coffman Union on Friday to support U.S. troops and the war effort. They waved American flags and prayed for the troops in Iraq. Several speakers denounced the 50 or so antiwar demonstrators who gathered nearby. "You don't want the people in Iraq to be free," said Yacoub Aljaffery, 22, an Iraqi, pointing at the war protesters. "You are supporting the terrorism -- I'm sure you are." Chris Hill, 21, a junior at the university and a member of Young Americans for Freedom, drew cheers when he declared, "We say to those who oppose the war: Go to France."

You don't want the people in Iraq to be free," said Yacoub Aljaffery, 22, an Iraqi, pointing at the war protesters... Aljaffery said that his father was killed in Iraq in 1991 for opposing the government and that he himself was tortured as a child.

And still the anti-American protesters will claim he doesn't know what he's talking about.

I'm surprised at the Mpls Star & Trib as well. The only thing that socialist rag is good for is lining the bottom of a bird cage and for puppy training.
