Oh, I think I misstated what I meant.

We did not plan or count on taking Saddam out on Day One. The thugs would have been more likely to stay in hiding until needed, which would, of course, have occured later.

Another possibility is that a lot of these thugs are refugee Taliban and Al Qaeda, working for the Baath party.

And no, I do not think we make plans based on being cocky! Heavens!

Not the same, Straight. The ears stick out, the jawline is squarer, eyes wider...but Saddam's bodyguard would likely be shot/knived/punched/blown up regularly...and he probably has a look-alike. Who knows. There's a reason the Pentagon put out the story today. Hmmm?

It has been my thoughts that yes he was hit. I do not believe he is dead though. He may be in and out. This could explain some of the actions. The top men do not know what to do from fear he will pull through. They may be trying to implement his last plans. If he came around for a couple hours earlier this week it may explain those 2 columns that moved out of Baghdad and Basra earlier this week.

Saddam has recruited the feedeen (I ain't worried about the spellin') when they were only 3-5 years old and has trained them since them to be the bombers they are.They have no feelings. They have no concern for nothin' but giving up their lives for Saddam.

As much as forums like this are a communication with each other they are also a form of great therapy ....soul bearing... frustration "dumping"...

I gather some our kids have been hacked up by the monsters... how simply horrifying but yet so very typical of people who have no value on a human life.

I am thankful I know a God who has taught me better. It will take at least a generation to get the vermin of this mentality out of the people. I hope they can find the love in their God and ours to direct them.
