Same here. Any update?

We don't KNOW that these are chemical weapons in these drums. However, I can think of a really GOOD way to find out. Can you say 'Carpet Bombing'? Sure you can, let's say it together ..... Carpet Bomb.
PS It's a good idea to be upwind before dropping anything.

On the Iraqi area weather maps that Sabertooth (bless him) supplies us with, the winds are blowing toward the SW. That would be away from advancing coalition troops and more toward Baghdad.

Not exactly the best way to phrase it. I've got several large bags of chemicals in my basement. NaCl.

If the enemy and the barrels could be seen, why couldn't they be shot with a .50 caliber machine gun? Ripping up a few barrels near the enemy would be a great confirmation of their contents.

We have heard several stories from the embeds that have died out very quickly.\Those that come to mind are a few of chemical finds, remeber the huge 100 acre complex that was disguised from the air and the story that died a very quick death was the one about finding the Iraqi fellow with the white powder and the instructions on how to kill americans with it.

But Blixie said he doesn't HAVE any!!! How could he LIE?! Well even if Iraq has WMD Blixie promised that they wouldn't use them. Iraq wouldn't want to be seen as being "Bad Guys".

Wed all be well advised to take anything that comes out of the 1-hour news cycle with a grain of salt. Especially if it seems too good or bad to be true. Its easy for reporters to get caught up in the moment and report rumors when they have to be onthe air 24/7.

And, since it isn't in vapor form, not much damage would be done...until the next sandstorm! those winds would pick up all kinds of droplets!
