NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- French bashing has even cropped up in Louisiana, the bastion of Cajun and Creole culture where "freedom fries" were out of the question when French President Jacques Chirac refused to back the war in Iraq.

Now, however, a movement has sprung up to stop a Dec. 20 visit by Chirac. There are reports of harassment of French teachers, and the links to the French have become an issue in the state's attempt to capitalize on the bicentennial celebration of the Louisiana Purchase.

Let him come. I'm sure the Coon Asses will prepare a proper reception for him. Maybe slip a visit to the D-Day museum into his itinerary as a reminder of why he isn't speaking German today. (for you uninitiated, "Coon Ass" is not a racial term. Many Louisianans proudly call themselves that.)

When Frenchmen left France and came to the new

IQ by a large amount!

"Coon Ass" is not a racial term. Many Louisianans proudly call themselves that.

One story is that the French in WWI, on first hearing what to them was an archaic dialect of french with slang spoken by US cajun soldiers called them "conasse" - which roughly translates to "cheap whore".
