PLEASE PING THIS for the family. The responses are to be printed out and sent to the family.

God Bless Randall and his family. We salute his heroism..and are heartbroken at his death. He is a hero.. and the COWARDS who flew a white flag are the lowest of low.

Prayers for his family and friends.

I'm posting a couple poems that I thought of with Randalls sacrafice.

God Bless, Vets Husband and Wife/Art and Mary Ann

THE YOUNG DEAD SOLDIERS

The young dead soldiers do not speak,
Nevertheless they are heard in the still house.
Who has not heard them?
They say: whether our lives and our death were for
Peace and new hope, or for nothing.
We cannot say: it is you who must say this.
They say: we leave you our deaths.
Give them their meaning.
We were young, they say.
We have died. Remember us.

NO, FREEDOM ISN'T FREE

I watched the flag pass by one day.
It fluttered in the breeze.
A young Marine saluted it,
And then he stood at ease.
I looked at him in uniform
So young, so tall, so proud,
With hair cut square and eyes alert
He'd stand out in any crowd.
I thought how many men like him
Had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign soil?
How many mothers' tears?
How many pilots' planes shot down?
How many died at sea?
How many foxholes were soldiers' graves?
No, freedom isn't free.

I heard the sound of taps one night,
When everything was still
I listened to the bugler play
And felt a sudden chill.
I wondered just how many times
That taps had meant "Amen,"
When a flag had draped a coffin
Of a brother or a friend.
I thought of all the children,
Of the mothers and the wives,
Of fathers, sons and husbands
With interrupted lives.
I thought about a graveyard
At the bottom of the sea
Of unmarked graves in Arlington.
No, freedom isn't free.

I AM A SOLDIER

I am a soldier. My blood permeates the soil of many countries.

I have gasped my last breath on many a desolate stretch of beach.
For you . . . all of you, the children who play in the parks,
the mothers who watch over them, the fathers who struggle to sustain them.

There are those here who have belittled and reviled me,
who have made a mockery of me and what I stand for.
You, also, have I suffered and died for.
I withstood heat, insects and disease
so the right to dissent would be yours.

I endured the pain and terror of battle and the maiming of my body
to ensure that you might worship as you please.
I died in agony in order that you, no matter who or what you are,
have the freedom to choose your own destinies.

And I would do it again.
Because I believe in the ideals that made this country what it is today . . . free.
I love her with a deep and abiding love that transcends mere physical pain.

I am a soldier.
Pray that I will always be there,
for if I disappear from this country,
so will you.

IN FLANDERS FIELD

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

U.S. Marine Corps. Hymn

From the Halls of Montezuma
To the Shores of Tripoli;
We fight our country's battles
In the air, on land and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean;
We are proud to claim the title
of United States Marine.

Our flag's unfurled to every breeze
From dawn to setting sun;
We have fought in ev'ry clime and place
Where we could take a gun;
In the snow of far-off Northern lands
And in sunny tropic scenes;
You will find us always on the job--
The United States Marines.

Here's health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve
In many a strife we've fought for life
And never lost our nerve;
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes;
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines.

Prayers indeed;

Our Heavenly Father, We are in agreement today that you may send your comforter to the families of those that are in conflict in Iraq. We ask that your Spirit be on those that have lost loved ones in this time of crisis. Lord, we understand that there will be things we cannot know or understand and we place our trust into your will. Your will will be done.

We ask that you bless our soldiers, marines, sailors and airmen that are in the conflict and protect them from harm, Bless our President and our Government, our Country and the people of the United States. We look forward for your blessings and the end of this conflict.

In Jesus' name we pray,

AMEN

There are people that stand around and look and there are people that stand around and talk, but the people who are sacrificing in this war are the best....they don't stand around ...they DO...they ACT......

May God bless your loved one, and you, and remember, there are those of us out here who are heartily thankful.....who will forever realize that we are in debt to your son, and the others who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our well-being....

May God bring comfort and strength to the family and friends of Cpl. Randal Kent Rosacker.

As President Bush said yesterday, "we thank God that liberty found such brave defenders." May there be some small measure of consolation for his loved ones in knowing that a nation appreciates the sacrifice and is grateful for the loyal service of this fallen hero. May Randal Kent rest in peace in the loving arms of God.

Sad news that your dear Cpl. Randal Kent Rosacker has left you--but God has taken him when he thought best.

You will miss his merry voice, but your loss will be his gain. He will miss his family that he loved so tenderly; but he has joined the Angels, where you would not call him back if you could. He is happy now as no mortal on earth can be.

And rest assured he stands Honor Guard over the brave men and women he left behind on the battle field. He is with the other martyrs in Heaven who call out to God for justice.

God bless you and give you peace. The prayers of thousands in this forum will be your strength.

FOOT PRINTS IN THE SAND

One night I had a dream. I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, And across the sky flashed scenes of my life. For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to me and the other belonging to the Lord.

When the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that many times along the path of my life there was only one set of footprints.... I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of my life.

One set of footprints in the sand, Lord you promised me you'd hold my hand, tell me why during the troubled times that I look back and only find, One set of foot prints in the sand

This really bothered me and I questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you- you would walk with me all the way. but I noticed that during the most troublesome times of my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why in times when I needed you the most, you would leave me".

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you during the times of your trials and sufferings. When you saw only one set of footprints- It was then that I carried you".

One set of Foot Prints in the sand, Oh Yes at last I understand, through every storm He carried me, Now I praise the Lord each time I see, One set of foot prints in the Sand.

For the family and friends of Cpl. Randal Kent Rosacker:

Although I didn't know him, I know of him. He was the boy who would rather play with his vast collection of army men than eat his dinner. He was the first to fling his "good" clothes off after church, hurrying into more comfortable clothes. He was the boy with the clear eyes, unclouded by guile that looked trustingly deep into your own.

He grew up. He was a proud Marine. He honors his family, his friends, and his country.

May all our prayers keep you strong, wipe away your tears, and free you from grief.
