[history]
March 27, 2003 -- Democratic Rep. Maurice Hinchey of upstate Saugerties has outdone himself with his quips on the war in Iraq.
He told constituents that America is "engaging in what will come to be seen as a massacre in Iraq," under "the 'Bush Doctrine' of pre-emption, which allows the United States to attack any other country any time . . . for whatever reason the president feels is justified."

The chickens come home to roost, right on top of Maurice Hinchey's head.

yeah, but you get rid of one and you just find another. for example, there's
this, which tells us that the tri-lateral commission is behind the firing of connie chung. it was written by the immigrant lawyer (michigan, of course) son of the director of the douglas county, nebraska (omaha), health department.
guy is also chairman of the kde league.

Why are Democrats stupid enough to prove that they are no better than the enemy?

I can think of a humorous response, but the serious answer in this case is that Hinchey thought he could get away with it.
He sent his letter accusing the US of a "massacre" in Iraq to a far-left group in Ithaca known as the Coalition for Global Justice, and asked that they post it on their list serve.
He probably figured that it would go no further than that, and that he would bask in the glory and support of his fellow leftists.
Unfortunately for Hinchey, some eagle-eyed folks spotted it, and got word out to the media.

HILLPAC gave this guy 5 grand last May. Someone ought to ask Hilliary! what she thinks of Hinchey's comments.

And, of course, Hinchey represents, Ithaca, the City of Evil. Nice try, but Saugerties is near the Hudson River, about two-thirds of the way from NYC to Albany.
Mind you, he may represent it in spirit....

Yes, he's from Saugerties, but I assure you, the 22nd congressional district stretches to and includes the City of Ithaca.

True, but Behind Liberal Lines is still correct. Hinchey's gerrymandered district, which looks like a long-necked goose, stretches from the Hudson all the way to Ithaca.
