IS THERE AN IRAQI/TALIBAN CONNECTION?

This image is grainy, but a 2nd jetliner can be clearly seen on the left flying towards the building in the background. This is part of a mural found inside a military headquarters in Nasiriya, Iraq, showing the true attitude of Saddam Hussein's regime toward America. They rejoiced at the death of 3,000 of our friends, relatives and neighbors.

Unfortunately there were many celebrations in Islamic countries on 9/11. It's probably you'd find this kind of 'artwork' in many such countries. Now, the real question...was this done by average people to celebrate and right after 9/11, or Baathists to threaten and done recently?

like I've always said - it's harsh and sad but all those responsible for 9/11 have to die and all those who approved or even agreed with it may have to before peace returns to our country.

Displays, public, art or otherwise, are not allowed in Iraq. The only type of public demonstrations, art, speeches, etc. that are allowed are those projecting the evil US, the almighty Sadoom and the glory of martyrdom for Alla. There is no question about the association between terrorism, Iraq (Sadoom), Taliban, Hamas, etc.

Yes, but was it a celbration of the Great Satan 'getting it' on 9/11 by like minded individuals and supported by the government, or description of same government sponsoring said 9/11 event. OR, was it done recently by Baathists to show the invaders what would be coming their way should they invade...

What if it was done BEFORE 9/11? I wonder if there is any way to tell.

A poorly rendered composition with little understanding of formal Art principles. Infantile use of color and feeble technical skill. Reminisent of the 'Ashcan' movement of the 30's where many painters were using housepaint and other cheap substitute materials for works. I would suggest that this 'Artist' change from painting to perhaps busing tables.

That is the million dollar question. Even if it was done before 9/11 there were other pre-9/11 incidents (the calendar in the Netherlands springs to mind) that don't necessarily implicate the government of Iraq for anything but tolerating terrorists. Most Arab countries do that out of necessity.
