Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

This time, they're complaining we "rushed" to war. Now they're complaining it's too slow and we're "bogged" down. Their heads are spinning.

Sky News - showing video of 7th firing off missles. Cool stuff. Apparently small Iraqi columns coming in and testing the American line

...Security Council room. Everyone wants the US/Britain out of reconstruction. I wonder how they are going to enforce THAT resolution... LOL

How about we make Koffi answer for all the civilian deaths in Iraq under the failed containment program. The guy is useless.

Australian Prime Minister John Howard criticized U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan for calling on all sides involved in the Iraq conflict to protect civilians.I am developing a fondness for PM Howard of Australia. Well done, sir!

I was trying to find his comments about Peter Jennings yesterday. Doesn't really matter, I just find his web site rather confusing and "flusterating".

I agree with your comments.. and to Michael, how awesome that you at your age & in your country can have such a stance. You must really feel you are swimming against the tide. I hope that you & your fellow conservatives will mature into the leadership of your country which can be such a wonderful asset to the world.
Michael for chancellor of Germany!
Dolly for Mayor of NY !
Keep the faith...

Yeah, Sky TV was showing Missiles going out too. But their report was not a live report.

Just be careful with the selective stats. You'll notice the U.S. and Australia are big trading partners as well.
Not that I don't think the Russians and French don't have ulterior motives. Just want to be sure you don't get blind-sided with the other facts.

Believe it was Bernard Shaw with CNN who was granted an interview with Hussein back in 1991. Believe that was before the coalition grounds toops were introduced into Kuwait.

NewsMax published an article today indicating that the Clinton DOD created "battle managers" whose experience does not include field troop command (or at least not too much of it...) rather, they have WestPoint plus an MBA.
Interestingly, Gen. Clark, Democrat President wannabe and Clinton crony, is also carping about the numbers of troops involved. AND HE WAS THERE WHEN THE CLINTON "BATTLE MANAGER" SLOTS WERE CREATED...
It's a little easier to form an opinion of Clark when you know he easily speaks from BOTH sides of the mouth.
