Here's a little more about Tom;
Tom Adkins grew up in Suburban Philadelphia, spent 10 years touring America as a professional rock singer, then graduated into a real estate career.
His political awakening came shortly after Bill Clinton rescinded his "middle-class tax cut" promise, and raised taxes instead, inspiring Tom to write angry letters to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Sixty published letters later, the Inquirer asked Tom to write an Op-Ed piece on Ronald Reagan. That inspired his CommonConservative.com website, which led to appearances on Politically Incorrect, CNN' Talk Back Live, Hannity & Colmes, Oxygen and Fox News.
Tom is known for making very blunt quotes live on the air, such as… "Democrats stand for lying, cheating, stealing, taking bribes, selling missile secrets and raping women. They have become the party of political prostitution." He hasn't been back on Fox News since that one!
Tom's been quoted by Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Neal Boortz, Michael Reagan Andrew Sullivan, Jim Hightower and Col. David Hackworth, among others. His articles have appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Washington Times, Insight Magazine, "The Hill" (that's Capital Hill's most widely read publication), and almost every major national newspaper in America.
Tom's essays have appeared in eight books, lately in "Chicken Soup For The Soul of America", and he is about to be featured in America's number one freshman college reader published by St Martin's Press.
Incredibly, Tom admits never finishing college. Yet his first book is due to be released this summer, and he is currently developing a TV show. Yet he still lives the life of a devoted husband, father, and a grandfather of two grandchildren...and another on the way!
