I will tell a story. When I met her and we talked before she gave a speech, she was telling me about Human events magazine and she said it was one of Ronald Reagan's favorite magazines. Then she went on stage and slammed the liberals but GOOD with truth!

The Council might take the bait and act without the U.S. present, pass the resolution and order the U.S. out of Iraq. Then instead of the resolution being dead, the U.N. would be. (He said gleefully) Not a bad strategery. A bit like daring a drunkard to pee on the third rail.

The DUer's are the lost souls of this generation. Also the lost minds of this generation.

look forward to the day when their total lineup of posters drops from the current 300 (my estimate) to less than 10. My fondest wish is that someday, the site formerly known as DU ends up as Michael Moore's guestbook, with about five to ten people posting.

"The Times isn't afraid we'll do badly in Baghdad; it's afraid we'll do well."
Too true. I hope they won't be too disappointed when we win.

I took a look at democraticunderground.com and most of the left wing people there are hoping we lose and they honestly equate the life of a republican guard soldier with that of an American. They are also talking about if we win they will move to New Zealand! Yes! We're not only about to wipe out the Republican Guard, but the Democratic Underground!

Most auspiciously, the Arab League has appealed to the United Nations Security Council to stop the war. One can only hope the Security Council will agree to intervene. How would they stop us? Would France threaten us with war? Young men across America would have to enlist as a matter of honor. The Army could use as its recruiting slogan: "Are you afraid to fight the French?" Even liberals would enlist as a way to pick up glorious service with no risk of injury. There's a week's worth of satire in one short paragraph.

They regard our servicement as parochial, illiterate rednecks and themselves as sophisticated citizens of the world. I was talking about this with the hubby and remarking on how many of our troops are watching Fox News now, as it is shown over there non-stop (they love Laurie Dhue, among others), who may not have been introduced to it before. It is hopeful that we will be adding MANY educated & politically literate voters to the pools come next election.

"...if we win they will move to New Zealand!"I wouldn't wish socialists on any country, although New Zealand comes close.

CNN's favorite general, Wesley Clark, has also been heard to opine that our troops are getting bogged down in Iraq. His competence to judge American generals is questionable since his command was limited to working for NATO. We prefer to hear from American generals. Clark's contribution to international relations consisted of mistakenly bombing the Chinese embassy in Belgrade. In his zeal to prevent troop casualties, he ordered pilots to fly at such high altitudes that the pilots complained that they were being forced to incur unnecessary civilian casualties.
