After the Support Our Troops Rally in Venice at Patriots Park, about 30 people joined my husband & I in demonstrating in support of our troops on Rte 41. Before we left I passed around a piece of paper and collected email addresses. Many expressed a desire to 'do it again'!
Most everyone was on the internet. Now I have organized another Rally for this coming Sunday by sending the following email to those people and others who live in the area.
***************************
"You are receiving this email because you met me on Sunday at the Venice Veterans Rally for Our Troops.
"There is a Support Our Troops Rally planned for this Sunday (3/30/03) in Venice at a busy intersection. We would like to fill the four corners of the street like we did on Saturday in Sarasota.
"We will meet at 1 PM at the intersection of Rte 41 Bypass & Venice Ave. by Eckerd Drugs, Splash, Wolf Camera & Shell gas station.
"Try to bring a flag & sign if you can. Also alert your friends to join us.
"I will be sending out a reminder notice later in the week. Check your email for my update!
"Please let me know if you plan to come."
Regards, Julie

The response so far has been very good. One gentleman is a retired NYPD who was a Ground Zero. He is coming with his entire family and bringing friends along. Another who is a Korean War veteran is hoping to come and bring his buddies. Memebers of the local GOP Clubs and Freepers from Sarasota & Venice will be coming!
FREEPERS: May I suggest you pass around a paper at Rallies you attend and assemble your own email list of patriots who are willing to "stand up next to you" to show support for our troops?
I believe that the 70% 'silent majority' has awakened from its 'enthuastic apathy' and now realizes it must become vocal & visible!
Freepers: Let's get them organized!
Eagles Up!
Please ping A Navy Vet, Bob J, and diotima. Thank you.
