Moynihan is one of the few that was worthy of the term "Democrat" as opposed to "Rat."

As liberals go, he was among the best of the best.

I agree. He was respectable until, for reasons I just can't understand, he defended Clinton's undefendable behavior. Anyway, may he RIP.

But pick she will. She'll glob onto anything to give her something she'll never have - a friend.

May he rest in peace. One of the few Democrats with whom I could respectfully disagree.

The last honorable Democrat. RIP Zell Miller still survives.
Still, Moynihan was one of the few Democrats I ever voted for without holding my nose.

I just saw a clip of Hillary giving a "eulogy" for him. I think it was supposed to be about Moynihan, but all she really talked about was her Senate campaign.

Thoughts, prayers and condoleces on bahalf of a greatfull nation to a family who's father has served this country well.
P.S. Somebody email the clintons and tell them not to bring a jumbo-tron to his funeral service.

Wasn't Tim Russert or Chris Matthews one of his aides?
To: Timesink
very, very sad. he was an actual statesman in an era where those have been all too rare.

The last honorable Democrat. RIPRIP indeed, but they still have Zell Miller, so D.P.M. wasn't the last.
