Unilever CONTACT US website ^

Posted on 03/26/2003 12:08:58 PM PST by Gopher Broke

Unilever, a Dutch Company, owns Lipton Tea...sponsor of the Dixie Chicks TOP OF THE WORLD tour.

Since the anti-Bush remarks of Natalie Maines, LIpton Tea has been innundated with complaints and have thus made their website "bulletproof"...you cannot contact them.

However, their parent company, Unilever does have a webform for comments. Click on the link above, or HERE to send a message to UNILEVER.

If you want to drink your lipton tea and listen to the treasonous Ditzy Chicks while wearing your Levis and watching CNN that's your business. Just don't expect conservatives in a conservative forum to applaud. Sans-Culotte....that sounds like some kind of pansy-a$$ french poodle name to me anyway. Pathetic sack of ............

I thought you southerners invented Coke! It's far superior to iced tea. All good patriots gave up tea in 1773. Try iced joe.

I wrote to Lipton and told them I would not purchase the product again. I will not knowingly support anti-american
groups. I don't buy Crow's stuff either.

The Chicks will star in a Lipton Iced Tea television commercial spot starting in mid-May and be featured in store displays promoting Lipton Tea's national contest where consumers check inside their package of Lipton Tea for chance to win a VIP event with the Chicks as well as Chicks CDs, tour jackets and t-shirts. Lipton Iced Tea and Lipton Tea products will be sampled at all the U.S. Dixie Chicks dates.

According to yesterday's USA Today, the Dixie Chicks Traveling Soldier song experienced a 2/3rd's drop in airplay last week and dropped heavily on the charts. And Have You Forgotten? has zipped up to the top in the same week.

Lipton Tea SUCKS...MUD

Isn't that the truth. People look at me weird when I drink tea with milk, but they are usually the Lipton drinkers. Have you ever added milk to Lipton? OMG!!!

I have never heard that song.

Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock are hardly CW radio material.

As Hank Jr. says - "we don't use the F-word in Country"

When will you stop? When their career is entirely destroyed?

Those girls did that all on their own.

Now see here, we aren't really doing anything but exercising our right to spend our money where and when we see fit. The Dixie Chicks exercised their right to free speech. That's a given. Now they're whining about the consequences, i.e. people are actually offended by what they said. Well, too bad!

They made their bed. Now they can sleep in it.

If there is a deep and wide resentment to the comments then that has all the earmarks of a marketing disaster. We shall see.

Lol, I was half expecting an "EWWWW, milk" sort of response. I'm not a big fan of iced tea, but I certainly wouldn't put milk in it! :-)

My favorite is Kenya tea, with at least 1/3 milk, and a little sugar. Plus a few biscuits along side of course.

I believe the fake apology did more dammage to the dc than the comment alone.

Yep. They weren't apologetic for their blunder- they were apologetic because they got caught.
