John McWethy just told ABC News, after Bush's speech concluded, that Iraqis in Safwan are not happily taking food distribution.
"Many of them" are saying they are still loyal to Saddam Hussein. This came from Mike von Fremd on the scene.
And asking "Why are you here? We don't want you here?"
I suspect maybe a few out of hundreds said this, but ABC news is making this a major story. They will be covering it later.

Wishful thinking.

According to ABC News, Iraqis don't want to be liberated by the U.S.
They want to live under Saddam Hussein and are loyal to him.

Guess ABC doesn't care but I don't want them on my TV either!
Pictures being shown of Iraqi's lining up for food and water from the convoy that just got into South Iraq. Guess they don't want our food and water we are bringing them.
ABC is worse than worthless as a network. Peter Jennings and co. are pro-Saddam and anti-American if you ask me!

And asking "Why are you here? We don't want you here?" To which I would respond, "Tough. If you didn't want us here, then you should not have supported a leader who repeatedly threatens our country and who wants to stock up on weapons of mass destruction. Now get out of the way."

"We don't want you here."
They meant ABC.

"Many of them" are saying they are still loyal to Saddam Hussein. He must be referring to the ABC News crew.
To: tomahawk
