Just monitored on Sky News: embedded reporter says Shiites in Basra have begun, in his words, a "popular uprising" against the Saddam forces still in the city. British Army units are "pouring" artillery into the city (likely isolated areas) preparing to move in.

Sky New blows too, if you ask me.
Early Sunday morning (2 or 3 AM?) I was watching the Marine skirmish at the seaport, and the Sky News embedded reporter was building it up like it was "The Battle of the Bulge".
There were two U.S. tanks pouring fire into a building holding about 120 Iraqis with small arms and the Sky News guy was saying that the Marines were "pinned down". This was after the Iraqi commander (in plain clothing) had surrendered himself to the Marines, rather than be annihilated with his men.
They cut the commentary from the field and tossed to Colonel Hunt who cut loose over the Sky reporter's commentary.
"This guy has to stop drinking whatever is in his water. Those Marines are not pinned down. That's a load of crap!!! They are on their bellies in a proper defensive posture. One of the officers is walking around upright for Heaven's sake. What you have is 120 Iraqis filling up the toilets in that building because two tanks are firing on them at point blank range. What a load of crap!!!"
I was wetting my pants.

You have GOT to get FOX. First, raise hell with the cable company. That way you can help others get it as well.
I do raise hell with my cable company. (It's a bit harder to raise hell with my hubby who thinks that I will spend October through early June watching hockey games day and night. He's right. I would.)
Here in Northern California, I have AT & T cable. Someone told me that they have a stake in TimeWarner and that's why they won't run FOX NEWS. Depending on the seriousness of the news cycle, (like the beginning of a war, major terrorist attacks and cop car chases) I do get a FOX NEWS feed through the local San Francisco FOX channel. It is always temporary, because the SF FOX channel eventually goes back to its regular programming of X-file reruns, reality shows and kiddie cartoons. Sigh.

Colonel Hunt is a great guy to have on there, but he's made more loose bowel jokes in a day than Howard Stern has in a career.

Col. Hunt can be a hoot. They were showing a close up side view of an M-1 Abrams tank rolling along the desert at about 50 mph, being videotaped by the Fox embedded reporter. The anchorette in the studio asked Col. Hunt to tell the viewer what was being shown, and Col. Hunt said, "That's a helicopter."

LMAO!
Watch the Chinese Army send their troops in for support.
Then we will be in official Bizarro World.

No, I was being deliberately simple so as to egg you on.
You're just a nasty person, and probably one of the reasons new people don't contribute much to discussion.

We need to have a contest.
"Poster Most Likely to Believe in Big Foot" for the best post that displays DNC propoganda and nothing else.
I think I have a front runner, for sure.

LOL. I love the graphic!

That wasn't my quote, and I agree with your statement. I do enjoy the Bugs Bunny cartoon "Sahara Hare" with Yosemite Sam at the casbah and "Yoo Hoo Mr AaaaaaRab!"

he's made more loose bowel jokes in a day than Howard Stern When they show those mosque scenes with everyone putting their heads on the ground with their butts up in the air, I think they should play those exagerated farting noises, and give the viewers a little laugh. But I don't guess they're gonna.

He was talking about the Kurds last night, and he said "men, women, children, old ladies, cats, dogs, they are all fierce fighters"
It was a good quote.

When you consider that the terrorists hide in groups in small caves eating beans, it may explain where some of their bad attitude comes from.
"Habib!!! Open a freakin' window damnit!!!"

Basra is spread out and has inner urban as well as suburban areas... we have it bottled up but there are many neighbor hoods where we don't have control!

I agree, but you must also agree then that all judges per se are not bad or idiots, and certainly not (as the posters were implying) all hostile to God.
