Just monitored on Sky News: embedded reporter says Shiites in Basra have begun, in his words, a "popular uprising" against the Saddam forces still in the city. British Army units are "pouring" artillery into the city (likely isolated areas) preparing to move in.

I'm still laughing at your very apt
"Tom Daschle has been quoted as being "very disapointed." His tombstone should read, "Very Disappointed".

Actually, MSNBC has been quite fair and pro-American throughout the war, IMHO. CNN has been hideously anti, though.MSNBC died, as far as I'm concerned, during the Florida recount, with their ridiculously pro-Gore bias.
I locked the channel out on both of my DirecTV receivers then, and it will remain that way.

Should we laugh or cry that a group called the Supreme Assembly for the Islamic Revolution is a part of the Coalition of the Willing?
Welcome them for now. Give them food, rifles, bullets and trucks. But nothing else.

So this is still pretty much Skyhook News reporting what some low-level Brits are speculating about. How come the Brits can't fight at night?

Well, far more than expected. They also have a beautiful "God Bless America" war spot, which surprised me.Yeah, they do. FNC has rushed one onto the air itself as a result.

The worst thing about CNN's pathetic coverage of this war are those two lame fools Aaron Brown and General Clarke. Talk about boring. Talk about zip chemistry. Talk about biased. One can tell that they both want this campaign to fail, so that Bush will fail. I watched them for a few minutes each night and they just about put me to sleep with their inane chatter and monotone voices. (Hey, maybe that's a good thing. Lower ratings.)
Sigh. I still don't have FOX NEWS on my cable. Hubby won't get a dish, so I have to settle for MSNBC. Sigh.

Aaron Brown has the charisma of a kitchen sponge.
He's a possible cure for insomnia.
His middle name should be Melatonin.

Your #726 is a useful overview.
Small wonder the Manichaeans have survived as a belief system in that region!

I'm convinced that Aaron Brown makes out with his mirror every morning.
Probably bought himself a full length mirror for the evenings.

I just thought it was significant CNN would even report this. It's not exactly bad news for the good guys or anti-war protests which has seemed to be their specialty.
We shall see.

May I edit your engraving to say, "Very Disappointing."

Aaron Brown is absolutely pathetic. He is the most self-absorbed, superficial piece of plastic I have ever seen. He wouldn't have 'chemistry' with a glass of water.
You have GOT to get FOX. First, raise hell with the cable company. That way you can help others get it as well. But in any event, get hubby to splash for the dish. It costs no more than cable (less where I live), has a better picture and sound, and a better array of channels--especially FOX. One night of O'Reilly and you'll be glad you got it.

Thank you for the information.

Contrast the riots in Basra with the anti-war riots in the West... and see just how pathetic the "peace" protesters are.
