Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Took me a second try to find ya'll. Last link in last thread is bad. Can't stay up too late tonight, picking up my bride of many, many years tomorrow morning. My youngest son (12) and I have been single for the last week. Woohoo! heh heh Poor kid......pizza and burgers for a week. Gotta finish the dishes, vacuuming, laundry, dusting etc really FAST! Wish me luck.

Tony Blair, well I'm not sure how much I trust him. That makes two of us and from what I heard from Shepherd Smith it makes three of us.
President Bush WILL do the right thing and wouldn't surprise me if we start seeing more strikes and some may actually be civilian targets used by the military!

Probably Kut - It was the site of a British defeat in WWI, as an accurate reader pointed out to me above.
Why not try to repeat history?

THIS IS THE FASTEST, MOST SUCCESSFUL ASSAULT EVER!
Four days and the country is isolated, decapitated, and the army separated into small fragments. Now only the pockets need be cleaned up. I have to say, it is amazing at how much the troops have been able to do in 4 days

Stalingrad: (St. Petersburg) During the German push into Russia in WWII, the German forces got stalled when they tried to take Stalingrad, in the winter, and in turned into a protracted seige that was one of the factors contributing to the German defeat.

Yhere's Ghurkas with the Brits? Where'd ya' hear that? There were pics Freeper Diogenis posted here last week of Ghurkas with British forces in Kuwait. I don't think the Brits would leave them in Kuwait when they crossed over into Iraq.????
