I think squirrel can read your response anyway -- just can't post.

And thank you for putting up THIS wonderful post-FReep thread:
WE FREEPED THE OSCARS!
Posted on 03/23/2003 6:28 PM PST by Cinnamon Girl
Outside the Kodak theater, as close as the police would allow: thousands of patriots rallied in support of the troops, the President, and America. Flags waving, signs, and chants: "IMPEACH MARTIN SHEEN," "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS," "WE LOVE BUSH," "LIBERATE IRAQ."
NOW FOR WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW: Yes, we were in plain sight of plenty of media cameras and the LIMOUSINE LIBERAL HOLLYWOOD LEFTIES! Several women in limos held up the "peace" sign, one actress unfurled a "no blood for oil" sign out her limo window. I only saw her sleeve so I'll have to wait until I see the inside pictures to know who it was. Another actress with a platinum blonde short shag held a "war is not the answer" sign out her tinted window as her limo turned the corner to the Kodak entrance.
Because of these Hollywood ingrates, streets were blocked off by police all around the area and we had to walk about two miles around the vicinity of Hollywood and Highland to get to our protest site.
Several people in our crowd had bullhorns and we chanted "Back to Berkeley," "USA" "G-d Bless America," "LAPD," "Smoke Saddam, not crack." Often, the chants were directed toward the ANTI-BUSH, ANTI-FREEDOM nuts who were situated on the opposite corner with their "BUSH IS STUPID" and "BUSH IS HITLER" signs. Most of their ILK were down on Sunset with their drums and their peace signs, gettin' busy bein' stupid...

The foreign category is "Foreign Language Film." The Pianist (or, The Antidote to Schindler's List, as I like to call it), starred an American, and featured a cast largely made up of Americans and Brits. It was filmed in English. It was financed with American money.
Nicole is still recovering from being a Scientologist all those years with Tom Cruise. I'm willing to cut her some slack.
Any pictures of RonDog at the rally?LOL!
Not too many. There are some EXTRAORDINARY images posted on D1's after-action thread, however, including THESE:
I was on "disruptor patrol" much of the time, and OFF camera.
Los Angeles Chapter FRN (HRF) - Rallys for America at the Oscars

The Hollywood Resistance Force was out in strength today Sunday, March 23, 2003.
Along with around three to five hundred other conservatives, the Los Angeles Chapter of the Free Republic Network made sure Michael Moore (or less) had to pass by fourteen hundred United States flags on the way in to receive his Oscar. Every leftist who sputtered nonsense from the podium, had to pass us by. We waved our flags and shouted Liberate Iraq, Free the Iraqis, L - A - P - D (a supportive chant for the Los Angeles Police Department officers on site) and other phrases sure to make leftists melt like a vampire in the presence of garlic.
Our local Vice-President and Public Relations Officer RonDog (Ron Smith) arranged this event, and did us proud. Ron teamed us up with Fit Aim Act, the Liberty Belles, and representatives from other organizations for which I'll be kicking myself in the morning for not remembering now. Ron will be by to supplement this report anyway. He'll be sure to credit everyone who participated.
Ted Hayes did an excellent job of fielding interviews from a conservative point of view. Ted is with Fit Aim Act, and knows his way around the public relations maze. His burden is homeless advocacy, but Ted is well grounded on many conservative issues and it's a pleasure to listen to him present his views. When you do, you'll find yourself saying "all right" or "Yes!" over and over again. You just can't help it.
Folks, this event was a public relations gold mine for our chapter. Every local media outlet seemed to be on site. BobJ arrived earlier than I did, so he can tell you the orgs he ran into. I say the Los Angeles Times people, several, and several radio stations. I turned on the Oscar coverage on E early this afternoon and there was BobJ standing next to Ted Hayes on the E-Channel. Bob, wearing his free republic hat, was a walking billboard for our cause. You can't buy coverage like that.
I am told that wire service photos already exist on the forum, showing our group at the Oscars. Excellent. After all, we were there to liberate Oscar!
We were one half block from the entrance to the Oscars. All limos passed our location. I saw at least one vehicle with nothing but thumbs up, headed towards the Oscars. Love it!
We made a number of new friends through this event. Other groups we networked with were great. Other individuals who were simply sick and tired of the leftists that seek to speak for us, and showed up on their own, were glad to find us there.
We had one special guest show up. I know you'll find it hard to believe, so did we. Look closely, you'll see who it is.
Yep, like I said, we were shocked too. He waved a flag, joined us in chants and was particularly good on one that said, "We support the President!" and took time to give us his private eMail, so he could join us on our next FReep.
Folks, we had an excellent time. Like other FReeps, we had dinner afterwards. There we discussed this event, and our plans for future activities. RonDog made a presentation on future plans. For the folks we'd met today, that knew nothing about FRee Republic before this, I gave a two or three minute overview of FRee Republic and Free Republic Network. When I mentioned there was a sight out there where between 750 and 1250 articles from around the world were posted every day, and explained that they would find other conservatives they could discuss issues with, they said, "Wow!" Yep, that about sums it up.
What a day. Thanks RonDog. Thanks Ted Hayes. Thanks Free Republic Network. You each did us proud.
More photos will follow. Some video clips will too.
Drop back in. It'll seem like you were there.
Those who attended today, Please add in your comments. I'd love to read them.
FRee Republic and FRee Republic Network rock!
