Troop Prayer Thread 3

A number of us have recently decided to form an active prayer circle here to pray for our Troops. We have many fine young men and women known to us here at FreeRepublic.com serving in the Army, Navy, Marines, Airforce and Coast Guard. Several on our troop list to date actually are registered in the forum, and have become known to us personally among the constellation of Freepers.

If you would like to submit someone for our list, you are welcome to do so at any time. Post their name or pseudonym here on the thread or freepmail amom or myself. If we have made any errors, please let us know so that we may correct the list. We will be making periodic updates.

We invite everyone, active Freepers and Lurkers alike to join our circle in prayer for these fine men and women who have volunteered to place their lives on the line for the defense of our nation and for the liberation of the oppressed peoples of other nations. To them we send our greatest respect and gratitude. We send them our prayers and good thoughts. We ask for God's blessing upon them and their families.

For those of us who have somewhat limited computer capacity, we request that graphics be limited to pictures of loved ones for whom we are offering prayers, special visuals that seem particularly approprieate, and non-moving graphics. Thank you.

Thank you for that news, Valin. I had not seen that report that supposedly the POWs were executed publicly. Has there been any confirmation of that today?

Praying with you that that report of public executions is false, FM...just getting caught up with the thread and I'm behind in my news viewing as well.

As far as being a BOMB, all of that goes to amom! She is the one who compiled the lists! I'm just so grateful for her and your willingness to help us with keeping track of our prayer targets! Thank you both so much! And thank ALL our prayer warriors who are taking the information and doing the heavy lifting!

Amen, bedolido. Thank you for reminding us of the comforting words of the 23rd Psalm. Thank you for your many prayers for our troops. They are so very important to the victory of their fight.

My pastor spoke Sunday of a "Cloud of Prayers" that goes before our troops that brings confusion and flight to the enemy. We must do our part... prayers are stored up and delivered to protect our troops as needed.

In your post 170 you were wishing to let the families know that we are standing by them. Sean Hannity is interviewing right now, as I type, one of the families. The mother, Kay, is telling us that the Lord is with them and with their boy. They have been getting all kinds of tokens from people to let them know that they are supported. She says her boy is the one eating the cracker in the video. Sean is telling her that a grateful nation is behind them. She is stating that she feels all the love and prayers. She is in communication with another of the families and she says they feel the support as well...but are asking for continued prayers. She states that her boy is doing exactly what he wants to do and is totally in agreement with President Bush's decision to go into Iraq.

She is saying that she woke up feeling that everything will be all right.
