Yes. It's amazing how you can "keep a good thought" even while working.
Ever vigilant.

Thank you, all. I cannot even imagine the hell these people are experiencing. Stories I've read of POWs in previous wars have said that two things were most sustaining - faith in God and faith in country.
I pray that these captured people have both in LARGE quantity.

Dear God, please keep the prisoners of war safe. Please let them know that You haven't abandoned them and you are with them during every moment.
Please bless and be with the troops and work through them for a swift victory with little loss of life so that they'll be reunited with their families when the war is over.
Also please bless those working to keep us safe from terrorist attacks here on our homeland. Keep their eyes and ears open and alert while on duty.
In Jesus' name, amen!

Dear Heavenly Father,
We pray our strongest prayer of intersession over these soldiers who have been captured by our foes.
Psalm 140 (amended)
1 Rescue them, O LORD , from evil men; protect them from men of violence, 2 who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day. 3 They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent's; the poison of vipers is on their lips.
Selah
4 Keep them, O LORD , from the hands of the wicked; protect them from men of violence who plan to trip their feet. 5 Proud men have hidden a snare for them; they have spread out the cords of their net and have set traps for them along their paths.
Selah
6 O LORD , I say to you, "You are my God." Hear, O LORD , my cry for mercy. 7 O Sovereign LORD , my strong deliverer, who shields my head in the day of battle- 8 do not grant the wicked their desires, O LORD ; do not let their plans succeed, or they will become proud.
Selah
9 Let the heads of those who surround these soldiers be covered with the trouble their lips have caused. 10 Let burning coals fall upon them; may they be thrown into the fire, into miry pits, never to rise. 11 Let slanderers not be established in the land; may disaster hunt down men of violence.
12 I know that the LORD secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy. 13 Surely the righteous will praise your name and the upright will live before you.

Prayer Point in Fredericksburg VA
Churches in our community, near Quantico, have erected a bulletin board called Prayer Point near our new WalMart, where we assemble at Noon and 7 pm Mon-Fri for corporate prayer for our men and women in service in the Middle East. Families are invited to post pictures and names of their loved ones serving overseas.
We take no stand either for or against the war, praying to a Loving God that His protection and purposes will be fulfilled for those in harm's way.
We know that as we seek Him, our young people that have answered the call will be protected.
To: TEXOKIE; UncleHambone
Uncle has been good enough to list the POWs that we know at this point. I just saw an appeal for prayer for Shoshawna Johnson from her aunt, a veteran herself of 20 years service, for prayer in unison for her niece at noon eastern standard time. I will try to give a special moment at that time for this brave young service woman in answer to that particular appeal and ask that others join me in-place as your time allows.
To: FrogMom
I trust you saw that Shoshana's Christian family is asking for everyone to pray for her at noon EST today.
To: TEXOKIE
continued prayers for our wonderful troops....and their families at home.
Thank you, Lord, for being with our troops today...for strengthening their spirit and resolve....and bless their families at home with peace and encouragement.
