Sat March 22, 2003 11:59 PM ET WASHINGTON (Reuters) - One of the 13 soldiers wounded in a grenade attack on a tented camp in Kuwait early on Sunday has died of his injuries, CNN reported. Time magazine correspondent Jim Lacey told the broadcaster by telephone from Camp Pennsylvania in Kuwait that he had been told of the death by several people.
"We're allowed to talk about it," he said.

I'm both! I'm angry cuz i feel frustrated and helpless... I'm hurt because it does hurt. Terrorism-...I never would have even guessed it would happen from within. (Until the sniper terrorists in maryland)..but from within the troops..how many more are waiting..they're takin orders from bin laden IMHO.

"a misplaced belief in his Muslim faith". I heard that. They have been tip toeing around this all night and will continue to do so. Lacey will be muzzled.

My daughter had the honor of reading this poem at her school's Veteran's Day ceremony this year. I think it's a beautiful tribute.
Fallen
By Ray Boltz
He stood beside his daddy
And watched the solders marching by
It was Veteran's Day and he wondered
Why there were tears in daddy's eyes
Later they laid flowers beside a monument of stone
He said "My daddy went to fight
And didn't make it home"
Fallen not forgotten
He was a hero
He stood so tall
And forever we will remember
With honor and glory
He gave his all
They left behind their families
And the towns where they were born
For the rice paddies of Vietnam
And the sands of Desert Storm
They were soldiers in Korea
And World War One and World War Two
They paid the price
Some gave their lives
And they fought for me and you
Fallen not forgotten
They were the heroes
Who stood so tall
And forever we will remember
With honor and glory
They gave their all
Now freedom is a blessing
But freedom has a price
And we must remember those
Who paid it with their lives
Remember the
Fallen not forgotten
They were the heroes
Who stood so tall
And forever we will remember
With honor and glory
They gave their all
Fallen not forgotten
They were the heroes
Who stood so tall
And forever we will remember
With honor and glory
They gave their all

I agree with you 90%. The other 10% wants all muslims off of the battlefield with our troops right now.

The firing squad is too good for him. They should use a grenade instead. Scumbag traitors like this piss me off. Thank God the Code of Military Justice applies and not the Federal Rules of Criminal Proceedure, where they would concoct some cockamamie insanity plea and it would take a few years to execute this treasonous bastard.

Just got through watching FOX.
Obvioulsy a black Muslim...whether American born or a West African born immigrant I couldn't say.
He is with an engineering attachment with the 101st.
Of the wounded several looked very serious. One has died sadly. Several others seriously wounded.
The perp was striking out at brigade leaders.
One of the wounded was a woman (so much for no women in combat eh?)
He appeared to be striking out in some misguided interpretation of his religious convictions.
ALL THAT ACCORDING TO A TIME REPORTER ON THE SCENE WHO WAS IN THE TENT WITH THE WOMAN WHO WAS INJURED BY FRAGMENTS>
Having these loons in our combat units is idiocy...PC run amok as usual as costing lives sadly.

I got Lacey saying it was his opinion the guy was "striking out as an interpretation of his Muslim faith."
That's the ONLY interpretation of the Muslim faith.

Jim Lacy from Time Magazine was sleeping in an adjacent tent to the one's that were attacked. He reported that the suspect has an Arabic-sounding last name, he's Muslim and was unusually quiet and nervous in the last few days. Lacy said he didn't believe the "resentment" story because he was trying to kill officers who were not in his chain of command.

His name will be a disgrace to the Army and to the 101st His name will be earsed from the Honerable 101st Airborne tah fell before, after, and because of him.
God rest and welcome the victim of his treachery and see over the others in their time of need.

Part of me believes that maybe that plastic grinding machine that Saddam is said to have used to kill some of his opponents ought to be kept active for just a little while longer.

Are we taking steps to protect our non Black Muslim troops?
