Hope you're doing OK.

About 3 weeks ago this article was in the Mexican newspapers, they were apparently looking for a luxury car with 3 Iraqis and a Mexican travelling north to the border with the US. I never saw any follow-up ---whether these guys made it across or were ever found:
Rastrean a iraquíes en norte mexicano

Agree, but I think it's a hoax... The report is minutes old and you say this? Do you not believe that if Sadam knows he is going down, he wouldn't give the nod to his fanitics to unleash something sinister. I mean real sinister.....
I fully believe at this point, anything goes......

My experience with middle class Mexicans has been always positive.
I met several Mexican students during my college undergrad years, and I still keep in touch with three of them.
Everytime I visit Mexico City, I have an open invitation to their homes. I have met their families and friends, and all of them were strong admirers of Americans.
As a matter of fact, I have always felt at home while visiting Mexico. My Mexican friends have been helpful in teaching me to avoid street criminals and tourist traps.

I agree... this is serious (not series). It's got me more than a little concerned..

**In El Paso for work this week. Took a nasty tumble on the job site yesterday. Spent 4 hrs. in ER, and confined to the hotel today. From my room I can see Juarez across the river and lots of emergency vehicles going by periodically. This news is definitely unsettling me. **
I hope you're feeling better, CD.
Please, keep us posted on any new info where you are.

You are very wrong. In many instances attempts at evacuation can INCREASE exposure and risk. Not to mention chaos and gridlock. The duct tape/plastic sheeting is part of sheltering in place, a concept developed for surrounding neighborhoods to deal with industrial plant accidents. Its not perfect, but in many cases can reduce exposure. OK...if I'm wrong, I could admit I'm wrong; but I'm not taking your comment as "gospel" truth just yet, cause I've heard just the opposite from what you are saying. Are there any Freepers that could share any info/or resources of info as to the best way of dealing with a radiation/chem/bio attack? Cause I'd like to know...I got a wife, 2 kids, and 2 dogs to look after ya know?

You bet, if the they are going to hit us, I for one, would expect it to be soon, given the events in Iraq. We have been warned numerous times by our own government that it's not if, it's only a matter of when.....
It's ironic that some of these folks here think this is some kind of joke or hoax after everthing we have been through.......

Thanks, DES.

Amen... very little can be done to secure the United States because it is a "free" country. Eventually it will come down to expeling all non-citizens and then you just arrest people who aren't.
We're not there yet, but if attacks start, there will end up being a very serious debate about this very issue. The DIMS will of course scream violation of rights, but when a homocide bomber bombs a Starbucks in a liberal city like Seattle they might change their tune.
