Protesting For Peace Activists gather against Iraq invasion
(WSBT) Activists from several Michiana churches gathered Thursday afternoon to protest the U.S. military action against Iraq. The Not in our Names demonstration was one of more than 100 planned around the country.
The group started with songs and prayers in front of the Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend. They say their goal was to show the effects of war on the women and children of Iraq.
"The Iraqi people are mostly innocent," peace activist King Giloth-David told NEWS22. "To have them suffer for policy disputes between Saddam Hussein and [President] Bush is ridiculous."
[this following is sooooooooo stupid--my impression]
"Saddam is a very confused and mixed up man," said activist Elise Bontrager. "And I think maybe that he hurts his people more than he needs to."
The Not in our Names demonstration was planned by representatives from religious communities of various denominations from around Michiana.

We should get in touch with Ms. Bontrager and find out exactly how much Hussein needs to hurt his own people.

Yeah, it's always a problem deciding just how much you need to hurt your people. It's so easy to cross that line.....

It is so obvious that these protestors have no clue. They are under-educated dimocrats that rely on emotion while ignoring history, facts, and logic. They repeatedly contradict themselves and when they are confronted with facts, they resort to loud profanity and name calling. I just ignore them like I would my 3 yr old when he throws a temper tantrum. They get quiet when they realize no one is listening to them.
The problem is the media keeps giving them press. FOX News is the one outlet that actually points out the fact that the number of protestors is actually quite small. I heard an ABC radio broadcast that casually stated that the majority of Americans are against this war (as if it were well-known fact). Those ABC flunkies are clearly lying again. Thier own polls show that something like 77% support the war.

We will make the mostly guilty ones mostly dead and then the mostly innocent ones can live in peace and freedom.
It really does no good to argue with these people. You can not reason a person out of a position that they did not reason themselves into in the first place.

Throwing people feet-first into industrial plastic shredders so that others can hear them scream all the way down is a couple of microns over the top.

I have to tell myself, 'NO'!
Every time these idiotic peaceniks hold a rally, I have an unbearable desire to see someone let off a string of firecrackers in their midst. The panic would be hilarious.
However, I know that panicking the bunch of sheep might cause them to soil themselves, and also cause such serious pollution that it would be extremely expensive to clean up.

How typical of the peaceniks. They don't have the facts and don't want the facts. To them it's just an excuse to get together with their friends and cause mischief.
I read on FR about one girl protesting who didn't even know who was running Iraq. When asked, she replied OBL. What an idiot.
They do infuriate me to no end, but they are ignorant of the facts and don't want to learn about them. This means that whatever they say can be dismissed.

Thier own polls show that something like 77% support the war. This weekend, tens of thousands of Americans will be standing up to support Operation Iraqi Freedom in several dozen cities and towns around the country. It will be interesting to watch the leftist media try to pretend it isn't really happening.
