CAMP NEW JERSEY, Kuwait - Army reservist Brandon Beyer got fired up before his first overseas deployment.
He would drive around his hometown of White Bear Lake, Minn., see the antiwar signs posted all over town, and his blood would boil.

The E-4's response is EXACTLY why I SUPPORT the TROOPS and AMERICA!
Do we want Americans spitting and despising American Troops again like in Vietnam?
I don't. I want it to be like after Gulf War I.

The Camp New Jersey rumor mill is filled with angry talk about people back in the United States taking down the American flags they put up after the Sept. 11 attacks.
They perk up when they hear about counterprotests supporting the troops.WOO-HOO!!!!

Good Evening All-
My humble suggestions for how returning heroes should be treated:
* Tickertape parade for starters
* Welcome Home parties at major stadiums
* Presidential address
* Tax relief for extended period of time
* Eternal gratitude from real Americans

I emailed the reporter who wrote this and let him know about the recent Support Our Troops rallies and the upcoming Liberty Weekend "Rally for America" events. Our troops need to know that most of us in America support them and consider them heroes!

Good idea. This is just sad; our troops should NOT have to worry about this at all. I hope all the appeasers are happy. The next time we hear an appeaser like Daschle and the like say "...but they support the troops" we need to remind them of this article.

Trust me there are enough of us old Nam vets around that will take to the streets with ball bats and other weapons if the loonie lefty anti Americans try the "blame the troops" routine again. I would risk prison in putting a servere hurting on someone dissing these "new centurians" when them come home. And I bet I am not alone.

LOL!
When I was in Saudi, I celebrated my 25th Birthday. It was on April 2nd, and the war was over. I was in Army Signal Corp and I and two others of my platoon were supporting communications for a large PX/recreation complex. Well, while I was there, I had a chance to get some "steak". Now, this was in Saudi, mind you, and this "steak" was not..um, American "steak". It was good, but to this day, I still don't know what KIND of "steak" it was!! LOL
SO..if I had a choice between good ole reliable MRE's and this "steak" right NOW..I would take the MRE's!!
Geesh..it could have been that camel I ran over while drivin the Humvee on those sand roads! LOL!
JOKING, Peta! JOKING!
