UK House Leader Robin Cook has left 10 Downing Street before this afternoon's cabinet meeting, fueling speculation that he has quit over military action in Iraq.
The Leader of the Commons and former Foreign Secretary was widely expected to announce his departure today.
'The speculation is that he will go on the grounds of not securing a second United Nations resolution,' said Sky's Foreign Editor Adam Boulton.

That's good news. It means that Blair has told his cabinet that Britain is on board, and will participate in the war against Saddam. He hasn't gone wobbly, in other words.

Did Cook leave in a huff or a snit? This is crucial to international understanding--and why Cook is considering a move to France.

Someone said he left at the start of the meeting.
Which probably means it is a row between the two.

I think maybe it was a snit. He probably felt Tony Blair was getting snippy or was that Al Gore and George Bush?

He left pretty quickly. I think it was a minute-and-a-huff.

I'm sure there are other reasons for getting rid of him, but this begs the question of why isn't Colin Powell in the woodshed for hinting the UN resolution was in the bag about a week and a half ago?
