France's Villepin sees no Iraq-al Qaeda link
Reuters | 3/17/03 | Jon Boyle

PARIS, March 17 (Reuters) - French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin said on Monday that the United States had failed to prove a link between Iraq and the al Qaeda network blamed for the September 11 attacks on the United States.

"There is no link today proving the link between al Qaeda and Iraq," Villepin said on Europe 1 radio.

He said he considered the United States a "precicious ally" and worried about the future of U.S.-French relations because of the spat over Iraq.

It doesn't matter de Shemale! 1441 was about DISARMAMENT. Immediate, unconditional DISARMAMENT, with serious consequences on failure. What, is Bill Clinton reduced to writing French dictionaries so they can argue over his twisted meanings of basic terms and principles?

Dominique has three problems: he can't see his hand in front of his face, he is only "worried" about the USA/French relationship (think AMF), and he considers this a "spat". Life in France must be an exercise in denial 24/7!

Oy vey! Dominique de Villepin and his master can afford to be so dismissive since their country wasn't attacked on 9-11. Ours was. Monsieur de Villepin seems to have already forgotten Saddam's fingerprints on the first World Trade Center bombing back in 1993 and he overlooks the evidence of terrorist ties at Salman Pak. Whether Iraq had a connection with Al Qaeda is beside the point; what IS indisputable is Iraq's being the host to and giving assistance to hundreds of terrorist factions in the Middle East and around the planet. De Villepin thinks Saddam will never attack France; the truth is he hasn't had a chance to yet.

Isn't it interesting that the French are unconcerned about terrorist attacks....

Wonder why?

cheese-eating

Wait now...cheese is quite popular, especially our domestic varieties from Wisconsin and California. Perhaps you could call them "escargot-eating" monkeys instead?

I'm copping out on this one...

I copied it from "Grounds-Keeper" Willie of "The Simpsons!"

I did add the 'slack-jawed' part myself.

No link between Iraq and al Qaeda? One way to find out will be to search the Iraqi intelligence service archives in the ruins of their headquarters Baghdad. In fact, there could be all kinds of interesting things there – contracts for the purchase of embargoed military equipment, contracts for the purchase of “dual use” chemicals and bio agents from certain countries with extensive trading ties with Iraq.

I think it's time to go to Baghdad and make sure.

BTW, who really mailed the Anthrax to that Suebian Troll Daschle? I KNOW the FBI profilers said it wasn’t from anyone from the Middle East because of the handwriting and grammar etc. But then these are the same guys who said Muhammad and Malvo were a “lone white male”. They seem to have some kind of fixation with lone white males.

I look at it this way: the US doesn't have to "prove", particularly not to the stupid French, that Iraq had a hand in 9/11. The world is not a "court of law" like the one that tried OJ Simpson, where clever Clintonian arguments and deception can hide the truth. There is sufficient circumstancial evidence that Iraq DID have a hand in 9/11 IMHO - Aznar just recently said that HE was convinced.

Given Saddam's WMD and circumstancial evidence, the US smashing Iraq will be a great object lesson to any country that wants to mess with US, whether or not Iraq was the principal instigator of 9/11. If there is another country that had a hand in 9/11, well, everything one step at a time -- they can be next.
