You know -- I hate to say it but I agree with you.
I am tired of Blair and his appeasement to 3rd world countries to get their vote and roping the United States into his "save his job!" campaign.
I am ready for the United States military to be in charge and whoever isn't at the starting gate, get out of our way! Enough of the UN quagmire!

Whoever translated this must have a low battery in their hearing aid.
I get the "gist" of what's being said and I hope it holds true. I want to see this thing done and over with as soon as possible.

The news has just got consistently better all afternoon, evening. Bush is in completely different mode now, it appears he has decided that the "game" is truly "over". He's showing that Titanium Backbone to everyone now.

I think this started yesterday afternoon with Rumsfeld -- he didn't make a mistake in that briefing about the UK -- believe he fired the warning shot that we would go it along with or without the UK and the UN.
Believe the Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz contingent now have the President's ear. Can imagine when he saw the British proposal about Saddam on TV, he reacted like we did. It was obvious this morning that the Brits went with these proposals on their own. It seemed to catch the WH off guard from all news accounts.
I will be so glad when Pres Bush makes the speech and issues the ultimatum!

This thing is becoming a Benny Hill skit.
Must go that extra mile for peace.. Give Saddam a 6 point test..
He must go on TV and promise never to be a bad boy ever again..
Then we get our Neville Chamberlain moment...
This is a freaking joke..

The vote needs to happen this week regardless of the votes or we will have lost so much momentum, the entire thing will fall apart. Time for everyone to put it on the table and let the chips fall where they may. At this rate, we'll be as irrelevant as the UN! (just kidding)

I agree with you -- time to vote and get it over with! Then we do what we have to do and if the Brits don't want to participate, fine with me since their Ambassador calls it an illegal action if the UN doesn't sanction it!

Tony's six point plan is for one reason: He knows Saddam will never go on TV and grovel but it will show just how stubborn the man is and it will show just how useless the UN is.
