Pro-America Rally, Cincinnatti (VANITY)
Early report, from my mother, (not a freeper) but, she said there had to be somewhere between five hundred and a thousand people there. A few anti-war protestors.
One anti-war protestor took the stage, and tried to make a speech, before the rally had started. The crowd "boo-ed" and they left the stage. All branches of military were represented, except for the marines. The mayor was too busy meeting with the governor to attend.
Great music, prayers by a rabbi and a minister (some peaceniks tried to disrupt the prayer, but the patriots, silenced them), a beautiful day, and everyone was proud and happy.
My mother and her friends were so proud to be there, and moved to tears on more than one occassion. A wonderful sight, to see people supporting our military!

Thanks to the thousands that showed up to support our soldiers on Fountain Square. Hopefully they heard us in the Middle East.

Not to steal your thunder, but here's a
direct link to the first page of the gallery.
Surprising to see the Cincinnati Reds' new mascot "Gapper" made an appearance.

My husband and I attended the rally waving both our flags and our "Another Family Supporting President Bush and our Troops" sign! [Relative to the latter, I must have been asked 50 times where I purchased the sign: FYI --
http://www.georgewbushstore.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/scstore/president.htm?L+scstore+znuh6052+1047548618 ]
Crown estimate: 2,500-3,000 (which does not include those standing on the cross bridges or waving from their offices!)
Protester estimate: 10 MAXIMUM [the crowd gave them absolutely NO quarter!]
Hubby and I positioned ourselves on a marble half wall at the edge of the square so that our sign could be seen by the cars driving by -- A LOT of supportive honks!!

So happy for you! I am glad you enjoyed. A wonderful experience for you to remember. My mother is still so very happy that she went. And, like I mentioned, my husband, and two young children will be joining me in Atlanta, at the rally, on Saturday. My six year old son and I are going to make a sign for him. And he said, "Mama, we should make the letters RED, WHITE and BLUE!" I think he understands what patriotism means!
Best wishes.

The News Record the University of Cincinnati's student paper had a pretty decent
article considering most of the time the paper is filled with your standard collegiate liberal fare. They said there were 7 anti-war protestors.

I'm from Cincinnati - thanks for the report. It sounds like it was a great rally.
