Prayer List of Our Troops
Several of us who have been meeting on the Yellow Rose of Texas prayer threads have been discussing the need that we have for a prayer thread devoted to our troops. Freepers can post names and pictures of their loved ones in the armed services here. We can post our prayers and best wishes for them and their families here in a central place.
We are in the beginning stages of planning the thread. Please, if you have a loved one, post his/her name or pseudonym below, along with a picture, if you wish, so that we can begin work.
Please ping your friends to this thread. We are trolling for names of our troops to pray for.
Thank you for your gracious and immediate response!

"I'm thinking(and no one is more shocked than me when this happens!!) that in addition to a "general prayer" it would be good to pick one or two people for special prayer. "
I agree totally, Valin! That sounds like a very effective strategy.

We pray for your husband "somewhere in the sandbox" [LOL!], Willie, Navy Corpsman, 1st MEU. May God and His angels guide, guard, direct and protect him and his mates during the coming days. May he and his mates return home victoriously and safely.

Thank you for your report from the front. It amazes me how as we try to encourage and help our troops keep up morale, our troops give us a lift by letting us know how much they love and care for us. The love flowing between our hearts at home and the hearts of our troops could be described as being figure-eight shaped. We give prayers and love from home, our troops receive and return it, and we receive that and give forth again our love and prayers and it continues.
We do pray for CPT Bill, CPT Dan, MAJ John, CPT Tom, SGT Brian, CPT Dave, LTC Jim, Chaplain Dave, COL N, COL L, COL S, General Franks, LTC Pat. May these precious servants of freedom and liberation be guided and protected. Surround them and all our troops with angels and the love of our hearts. Bring them home safely and victoriously. Amen.

You are welcome, Nita! See what your question on the YROT thread did? Thank you so much for expressing this need!
Amom and Alamo-Girl and FrogMom have been extremely helpful in compiling the list so that we will be able to use it easily in the days to come.
Thanks for bumping by!

Thank you for letting us know about Robby Ellis Boswell. We pray for him, and your daughter and your whole family as he anticipates being deployed.
We are grateful to hear your witness about the role that prayer had in your brilliant young friend's recovery. Seeing walking miracles does seem to have the effect of reinforcing in our emotions what we have known intellectually; PRAYER WORKS!
Thank you for your prayers for our troops during Gulf War I, and for your volunteering for prayer duty in Gulf War II.

Thank you for your previous prayer work after 9/11. Thank you for coming by this thread.
Is your son still in the service? Are you submitting him to our list? Please let him know how much we appreciate his service to our country in Korea during the 9/11 time.

Thank you for letting us know about baby Dillon and the difficult choice Dillon's father had to make while Dillon was fighting for his life. We pray for this family and ask God for as many blessings as possible for them as they sacrifice so much to serve this nation. We ask your blessings upon all families who are sacrificing their own personal "pursuit of happiness" in order to protect this country. Amen.
