Prayer List of Our Troops

Several of us who have been meeting on the Yellow Rose of Texas prayer threads have been discussing the need that we have for a prayer thread devoted to our troops. Freepers can post names and pictures of their loved ones in the armed services here. We can post our prayers and best wishes for them and their families here in a central place.

We are in the beginning stages of planning the thread. Please, if you have a loved one, post his/her name or pseudonym below, along with a picture, if you wish, so that we can begin work.

Please ping your friends to this thread. We are trolling for names of our troops to pray for.

Amom, thank you so much! Ladies, thanks for keeping the thread going.

Sgt Mike sent me an e-mail, he's worried about his son (my grandson). They are very close and the little guy misses Daddy horribly.

His wife (my tadpole) explained to the little guy about the "bad man who has been doing bad things to a lot of people" and that Daddy's job was to help make the bad man stop.

The little guy is seven. Sgt Mike was teaching him baseball and "manly-man" stuff. They had a spot of trouble after a camping trip - the little guy had been doing it on trees while camping, why not here at home??!!! Sgt Mike still laughs about that one (when the little guy isn't within hearing).

Friends, lets also remember the family members, spouses and children in particular. Their jobs aren't as dangerous, but they are tough and can be very lonely.
