I'm so pleased you will be joining us, and especially glad you've told family and friends.
As to the media coverage, the local news (specifically, the N&O) has mentioned our rally.
mykdsmom has sent out press releases to most of the print media and radio here in NC.
You should be seeing some coverage soon.
When the articles begin to appear, I will post them in this thread.

Hello dstarr:
Any news on the radio stations, etc?
MKM is sending or has already sent out press releases to most of the media outlets in NC.
I do not know if she has contacted channel 14.
We are all getting a bit frustrated, I have to admit.
BTW, I got a call last week from JoAnne Jones, who organized the Fayetteville rally, and she is also passing the word around.
Thanks SO MUCH for all of your help! I really appreciate it.

Thanks for your message!
We are hoping for a great turnout.
I truly hope that many from the Raleigh area will make the small sacrifice of coming out for a couple hours on a Saturday.

I will be trying to get the e-mail out today. We also have a meeting of the Wake Co. GOP Women Thursday and will follow up with an announcement at the meeting.
GOPPat has a pretty extensive e-mail list of GOP activists and I've asked her to send out the announcement as well.
BTW, the anti-tax "tea party" was held at the legislature. This will be at the old State Capitol grounds, right? Do we need to know which side or what the street address is or does the permit specify? Guess MKM would have that info.
I'll be checking in. I've GOT to get busy and finish up the taxes. Have a feeling it's not going to be a very happy day.

I honestly don't know if it has run on the stations. One of them has a call-in program on in the morning so I called them this morning and made the annoucement on the air about the rally. I thought I might have one of my friends call on Friday and remind them of it during the same show. I have been handing out flyers just about everywhere I go. Would you believe I even handed out some at a local nursing home? I went to lead them in their singing for their Sunday service and gave out flyers to several visitors there. The girls I used to work with are coming. I saw them today and reminded them. I carry my folder of flyers with me just about everywhere I go.

"Susan Eaton of Raleigh was quoted as saying that "her people" would not turn out in support of the war . . ."
OK, so this was paraphrased, but the terminolgy that we "support war" makes my blood boil. That's the way the peaceniks and media want to define us. We support FREEDOM, damn it. Anyone interviewed by the media on Saturday should make sure to make this point. No one is "for war," for the sake of war itself. We are FOR THE PRESIDENT AND HIS EFFORTS TO PREVENT TERRORISM AND FREE THE PEOPLE OF IRAQ.
Also, heard you on the radio today. You were great. Can't wait to meet you guys.

Here is a list of GREAT sign ideas from someone that will be at the rally on Sat.
I don't think this guy is a FReeper yet but if he isn't he should be. He did a one man FReep of a sad anti-war protest at our local mall on Sat.
He kept driving by the 10 pitiful protesters with a different sign each time just to pi$$ them off : )
He sent me his list of ideas and I wanted to share it with everyone.
Get the word out folks, if you need the flyer to hand out just e-mail me at rallyforamericanc@yahoo.com.
For those of you that live in Raleigh listen to G-105 at 8:45 tomorrow am. I will be on there promoting the rally.
