SOLDIER'S CHILLING WARNING
An Iraqi defector has told Sky News that Saddam Hussein will use chemical weapons if the country is invaded.
His warning comes amid revelations Saddam Hussein may be planning to use pilotless drone planes to spray British and US troops with anthrax and sarin gas if they attack.
In an exclusive interview, the officer with Saddam's elite Republican Guard, said the use of chemical weapons by Iraq was "100% guaranteed".
The 26-year-old soldier defected 10 days ago near the city of Sulaymaniyah in Northern Iraq.
Weapons
He is being guarded in a safe house and is said to have provided valuable intelligence to authorities.
"A chemical attack is guaranteed," he warned.
"We have been fully provided with complete protection gear, gas masks, first aid kit, injections."
In the 1991 war, Saddam Hussein deployed his chemical weapons but they were not used.
"We are sure about the chemical bombardment," said the defector, whose identity is being protected.
"In the last stage, he will use it as a last resort."
Fierce
He said Republican Guard soldiers will put up a fierce fight.
"When it is time for war we are fully prepared to fight into the ground. If we don't fight hard, they will execute us," he said.
The defector said Baghdad was full of loyal troops and special forces and the city would see heavy fighting.
"In Baghdad there will be a lot of killing," he added.
Warheads
The suspected plot by Saddam to drop chemical weapons on attacking troops emerged following chief UN weapons inspector Hans Blix's 173-page report to the UN Security Council.
The report listed details of missing weapons which Iraq had not accounted for.
They include 50 Scud B warheads and 6,500 bombs laced with chemical weapons, VX nerve agents and anthrax

To
search or not to search, that is the question...

But I thought Sadaam said he doesn't have any chemical weapons!! This is so ridiculous. Some say he doesn't have them and then in the next breath say if we go to war, he will use them and we can't allow that. Absurd.

I suspect he won't. I suspect this is bluster. I suspect his people will not take the order. I suspect his days are numbered and all these threats a BS to make us back down.

Bush has (hinted, threatened) that he would use nukes if Saddam used WMD.
The question is no only whether he will or won't, but also what is the decision point.
For instance if Saddam used WMD and 1 or 2 of ours were slightly, and temporarily injured, he probably would not.
But if a lets say hundreds of thousands of ours were killed, he would.
But the most probable scenario is in between, and I doubt even GWB has figured out what he would do.

I thought Sean Penn declared that Iraq was free of WMDs, which I assume would include chemical weapons.
And didn't Janeane Garofalo make the same declaration recently?
What gives? I thought these Hollywood celebrity-types were experts on this...

You need to read the High Cost of Peace. You'll think otherwise when you are finished. He's gone "off record" to his buddies, like Arafat, on several occassions proclaiming that if he believes he is in a "no win", "surrender Iraq" only situation, he will pull out all the stops and face death.

When any of the sensors pick up chemical weapons, it should be rechecked and rechecked again. If confirmed then Nuclear War head should be dropped on Baghdad.
Every soldier is someones son or daughter, we do not need even one allied soldier to die and when the world complains about over excessive force, they must be advised the next country to even think about using Chemical weapons would be nuked, and there will be no grey area, and we do not need to justify our actions to anyone.
Use of Chemical weapons = Death and Destruction.
I could guarentee, no other country in the world would dare risk using chemical weapons and most if not all of the countries would destroy their hidden supplies.
If you start saying it has to be 500 or 1000, or 20,000 dead, then we will have chemical weapons being used by all these whackos around the world. It needs to be clear, use them and you and the city you are in will cease to exist.

Oh come on, Old Europe, the E.U., the U.N., the Democrats, all the peacenicks and others have assured us Hussein has no WMDs. Hussein must be wrong here! ROTFL

I recently received an email from a buddy preparing for the invasion. He fully expects chemical weapons, and he is concerned. But he is not scared, because they have spend litterally hundreds of hours preparing for such an attack. Our soldiers are equipped to deal with such an attack, and they know exactly what to do.
To: WaveThatFlag
They are equipped and trained. Now it is up to us to offer our prayers to cover them with divine protection.

After Iraq is liberated and we find enough WMD to kill every person on earth 50 times over, the leftists (EU/UN/Rats, etc) will undoutedly claim we planted the damn things.

Next time you send an email to your buddy ask him if he or anyone else is interested in receiving care packages if they are still allowed to receive mail.
I was thinking it might be good to send it in care of the chaplain since these people will be on the move.
Tell him many people on free republic have him in their thoughts and wish him a safe journey.
