What "control" are you referring to? IIRC, the President couldn't even get CBS or CNN to cover his last prime-time news conference live. Are you going go confusing them with facts?

How correct YOU are ! Isn't it interesting, how so many, who claim to be the ONLY " intelligent ", " principled ", and knowledgeable people around, don't even have a tenuous grasp of historical fact ? :-)
To: Roscoe
Most hippies ( if not all of them ) weren't " colorful and were NOT very " interesting " either. Their leaders, the RED DIAPER BABIES , were better pied pipers, than the Libertarians , who are their direct descendents , are.

Most hippies ( if not all of them ) weren't " colorful and were NOT very " interesting " either. True enough. It's an accomplishment of sorts, albeit a very dubious one, that the Libertarians could manage to be even left interesting and colorful.
Rand is bland.

I give up.
You have no rational concept of "long distance bullets". -- Using that term is in itself a joke.
And, by all means, continue to give us your rightous views on controling guns through ammo prohibition.
You are a great illustration of the 'new breed' on FR.

The problem with and for Libertarians, is that they so desperately wish to come off as enlightened, " principled ", and the best of the best. The down side for them, is that Libertarianism is NOT " old ", wasn't around ( allbeit under a different name ) during our founding, and they don't REALLY know enough history / facts to counter someone who does know these things, in a discussion/debate. They use " code " words & phrases, do NOT think rationally, and have absolutely NO ability to accept that actions/behaviors have known consequnces. In most respevcts, it's like attempting to have a logical conversation with a two or three year old. At best, they come off like a 15 year old, who imagines that he / she knows more than any adult, IS an adult, and demands the use of the car. LOL
Rand was a petty tyrant and a sexual preditor.

Prohibitional doublethink and fanatical political cults that urge 'bans' are the enemy.

All bullets are long distance.
My topic of objection is about bullets that can penetrate a "protective vest" from a long distance away.
The ability of a bullet to still penetrate a protective (bullet proof) type vest after going a "long distance" is what bothers me. That really isn't needed.
I thought you were following that, sorry.

There has NEVER been a family unit, community, tribe, religion, nor nation, that hasn't imposed LAWS and BANS on people.

You're repeating your 'spam' roscoe. Take it to the backroom.

In most respects, it's like attempting to have a logical conversation with a two or three year old. And at least two and three year olds are hungry to learn as opposed to being willfully ignorant.

Thank goodness our Founding Fathers weren't Libertarians.
"There never was a government without force. What is the meaning of government? An institution to make people do their duty. A government leaving it to a man to do his duty or not, as he pleases, would be a new species of government, or rather no government at all." -- James Madison

No, your endless false assertion that "prohibitions are unconstitional" is spam.
BTW, it's been a couple of years now, have you come up with a source for that nonsense yet?

I don't get dismissed by people who have to impostor great names and yet can't afford to even fill up their own 72 Ford Pinto.
Give yourself the rest!

The ONLY place that Libertarian threads belong ( if they even belong on FR at all) is in the smokey back room .
