One word: Whitewash
To: Hillarys Gate Cult
Inspectors are not supposed to chase after the information, but Saddam is supposed to give it to them. Blitz won't chase after information and he could care less if Saddam gives it to him.
You heard Blitz. He wants the US intelligence to tell him where the stuff is.
Ya, sure Blitz we will do just that and then you can let Saddam know we know where it is and then Saddam can move it.

Germany siding with Blix.
To: Consort
Maybe we should let Turkey and Iran take Iraq and divide it between them.

This clown act demands an incredible amount of patience. It is nauseating.

Hi everybody, I just got here!!! How about a one post summary so far? Same old same old. 'we need more time/inspectors, we are going to ask hussein for scientist interviews outside of iraq (removing the families with them to ensure their safety.)' blah blah... no evidence nuclear development has been restarted... (I guess ricin and VX is ok then...)

Basically, no problems in the land of Oz (Baghdad). According to Blix, we all should go there and have some nice afternoon tea with good ol Saddam.
To: jgrubbs
Sure Fischer, you ex-terr, tell us all about the "international community" and the fight against terrorism...

Consort basically gave the summary; my take is that these diplo-crats have drawn a line in the sand -- in front of the United States of America. Their statements basically say that they're working at their own pace -- and finding nothing that concerns them.
Powell should be livid.

Sure, let the US compromise their intelligence sources for the snake in the grass UN... I think not. If we give them good intel, someone in Iraq will end up dead.

Well-connected advisers tell me that if, as now seems likely, the UN refuses to back action against terror, Mr Bush will announce a "temporary" suspension of America's membership, to be accompanied by an offer: if the UN gets its act together and carries out long-overdue reforms, America (and its money) will return. But if there is no reform, the temporary withdrawal will, de facto, become permanent. Sounds great! And I like the idea of this "temporary" suspension. Saying we withdraw right now would be considered "radical" and "far right" and whatever else, but who can object to a little "temporary suspension" of membership, conditioned on much-needed reforms?
The UN will, of course, not reform, just like they are not going to vote for liberating Iraq now. Thus, the temporary suspension becomes permanent--and the Land of the Free is out of the Club of Tyrants.
Thanks for posting the link!

Well, Germany is excited... Iraq is cooperating. Took a while, but it's enough. Iraq is complying with 1441.
To: Spunky
Germany is saying that there have been improvements. Of course he doesn't say that it's because we have over 200,000 troops at Iraq's border, at our expense. To heck with all of them.

"these two reports are an insult to a person's intelligence!"
This whole charade is an insult! It further
belies the complete irrelevance of the U.N.
President Bush said "you are either with us
or against us" The U.N. has to be put
in the latter!!

I didn't catch the interview but I heard about it. That guy's life is on Blix's conscience...if he has any. I hate those Euro-socialists.
