The speculation is rampant that OBL has been captured, or will be captured within hours. Yet, the White House is denying the rumors. So what's the big announcement?

1. "The Liberation of Iraq has Begun." (or it will begin at High Noon tomorrow, etc...).

2. During the capture of KSM (Sheik Whatshisname), U.S Agents and our allies captured invaluable intelligence data. Examination of this captured information leads us to conclude, without any room for doubt, that OBL was killed by Allied bombs on [DATE] while hiding like a little girl in [LOCATION]. The proof of OBL's death includes ....

3. Tuesday Night, agents of the United States and our Allies tracked OBL to a fortified location in [VILLAGE], Pakistan. When our agents attempted to arrest OBL, he resisted and a brief gun battle ensued. Despite our efforts to bring him to justice before the international community, OBL was killed during the battle (darn). His head was delivered to me on a silver platter earlier today.

Any other ideas?

On a slightly off subject. I was appalled to hear on the news that while going through Mahammed whatshisnames house they found eveidence of atleast 13 or terrorists on our land in the U.S.- The damned news announced they will not be captured but tailed to lead to more arrests. Why would the news announce this nationally to warn the terrorists they are being tailed? Now they will go to go go bars and church and look innocent.

thats exactly what will happen. Everyone is whining about our "rush to war" when in fact the pace is and will still be painfully slow, with the same words dribbled out syllable by syllable until we are all sick of them. And until our forces are really ready.

I didn't hear it from anywhere. I'm just trying to fit together the pieces we know. One of those pieces is that this White House tries pretty hard not to tell flat out lies. Thus, if they are denying OBL's "capture," what else might it be?

All signs point to the liberation of Iraq starting soon, but probably not this week. The Sheik was recently captured, and there is lots of OBL rumor flying around. So I'm guessing that the announcement is OBL-related. This is just my own educated (I hope) guess.

Why do so many Freepers think GWB is going to go on TV and announce to the world, and Saddamm, that we are starting our invasion tomorrow? When it happens, the last thing we will all hear is the President letting know it has happened. But by then, it will be all over the TV screens.
