What To Do With Khalid Shaikh Mohammed

It's not a question of whether we should kill him, it's whether we should torture him first.
I'm talking about Khalid Shaikh Mohammed.
The "mastermind" of Al Qaeda, the guy who came up with September 11.
The guy who helped bomb the World Trade Center in 1993.
And who wanted to blow up 11 U.S. jetliners and crash another one into the CIA headquarters. The guy who blew up our embassies in Africa and who attacked the USS Cole and who killed Daniel Pearl and blew up that Tunisian synagogue.
That guy.
We all know how his story is going to end. He will die at the whim of the United States government.
The question is: What do we do with him until then?
Should we hook the generator to his testicles and let it rip? Do we put him in thumb screws? Do we turn him over to his countrymen and let them use their magic on him? Do we beat him with rubber hoses?
In short, do we treat him the way he has treated us? Short answer: Not exactly.
Long answer: Physical torture is not the American way, but using any means necessary to get information from a man who may know about looming terrorist attacks is the wisest and only course of action.
Because right now the issue isn't punishing Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, it is pumping him dry. By hook or by crook, every retrievable bit of useful information must be pulled from him. American lives are at stake and they are all that counts.
Presumably, he is not going to eagerly cooperate.
Presumably, he has contemplated his eventual capture for years. Presumably, he has steeled himself against the pressure of interrogation.
But presumably he's no match for the CIA.
Again, nobody is recommending or condoning physical torture. But physical discomfort along with disorientation and psychological torture and manipulation, even the use of drugs, are all things that should be considered and used. Put another way, we should screw with his head big time. We should befriend him, threaten him, confuse him, deceive him, whatever we need to to turn him to our purposes.
We should remember that he is a tool, not only in our own defense, but in the attack against his people and fellow-believers. Theirs is a war of slaughter and terror, they seek to create fear as well as mayhem. So we should use him to cause as much fear among them as possible.
And, no, he doesn't get a lawyer.
Not for a long time.
And when he does, that lawyer should wear an American military uniform. This fellow is why they have military tribunals.
And cemeteries.
We use him for everything he's worth, we exploit his name, face and mind, and then we throw him away. We make him an example for those who would follow him. This man -- as a college student in the United States -- knows all about the hospitality of our country. Now it is time for him to learn of our might. And our resolve.
He is not an accused American criminal, he is an apprehended enemy combatant. Actually, he is less than that. He does not represent an organization or state that signed the Geneva Conventions, he has no protections under international law.
He is, technically, screwed. And nobody should realize that more than he.
We all know what's going to happen. Now it's just a question of whether it's the easy way or the hard way.

After we have done interrogating him, I think we should drop him off on the top floor of the World Trade Center.
If its not there, whose fault is that?

The greatest torture involves regret. We need to offer him riches in exchange for information. He will turn it down but let him know the offer stands while the Mossad deals with him. Everytime he is tortured, he will remember that he can trade it for wealth and that all his pain is for nothing.
He'll cooperate.

Bo Deidle on IMUS show yesterday suggested we addict him to heroin, then make him go cold-turkey. Hold the needle (with heroin) in front of his eyes and interrogate him. Not sure if sodium pentathal would do the trick. Maybe we need something more "exotic.?"

I propose kicking him out the door of a Blackhawk at 500 feet over concrete hog pens. Let him bust like a watermelon and be consumed by the swine. Collect and dry the fecal remains and them air-drop them over the West Bank. Televise it all on Al-Jazeera. Drop leaflets to invite others to follow.

We should show him evidence that we caught Osama and see what happens. In fact, lets get some Hollywood actor and makeup artists to put 'Osama' in the room with him and see what happens.

After our new trade center is up....I vote to throw him off. Too faraway...10-15 years. Unless he is tortured for the entire 10-15 years of course.

Tie him up, deposit him in the tank of a port-a-potty and let family members of those who died on Sept.11th urinate and defecate on him until he is completely buried.

Physical pain is effective but even more effective is the expectation of pain. If you dislocate a mans shoulder and leave it that way for an hour, the pain is incredible. Reducing the shoulder can also be excruciating, depending on how it is done. Now, that shoulder is gonna be sore for several days. But, if you go back in the next morning and pop it out again, well the pain is unbelievable. After that, the threat of doing it again is all that is necessary. On a quiet night in Key West, you can almost hear the screams from Gitmo.

Good point! (from a bedroom community of NYC)
How about we be sensitive to the environment. Tie a rope to his ankle and dangle his hairy ass as chum for sharks.

Certainly this guy should be tried before a military tribunal and not have a media circus trial with someone the likes of Ramsey Clark defending him. Execution (yeah, I know he's innocent until proven guilty, but let me indulge) by firing squad on a US Navy ship with about half of the firing squad being female soldiers. Burial uncermoniously at sea. A tape of the execution and burial at sea should be provided to Al Jazeera network for broadcast to the Arab terrorist world.

Without telling them what's happening, move Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Ramzi Yousef, Zacarias Moussaoui, and Terry Nichols to a secure location. Shackle them and put them in a pitch black room facing each other.....then turn on the lights. The reactions and any comments made could prove to be interesting.

Take him down to that island off of South Africa (the one where the great whites jump out of the water). Lather him up with rotting fish juice. Tie him securely to a surf board and let his arms and legs dangle gently over the sides so his silhouette resembles a sea mammal. Tow him out nice and slow to the deep, dark waters and wait for The Mr. Toothy show to begin.
