Rally starts at the Asheville City County Plaza at 1 PM. A large turnout is expected.
Madcelt (my husband) is already there. We hope to be able to upload his pictures after the event.

I grabbed two paragraphs off of your links describing the Patriot Rally and a Peace rally happening on the same day/same town. Notice any bias in the newspaper's reporting?
Rally ends at Civic Center
5:35 p.m.: After five hours of flags, prayers, speeches and patriotism, the Save Our Soldiers rally is over. About 1,500 people attended the rally outside, far less than what organizers had expected.
Peace rally wrapping up
5:06 p.m.The peace rally has dwindled to about 200 people and is wrapping up. Those remaining are in a biting wind and frigid rain shower - an odd ending to a beautiful, and for the most part peaceful, day.

Here is another
link to the story about both rallies in today's Citizen-Times. Interesting read, I wish I had been there. I appears someone was arrested for shouting dissent at a the peace rally.

I sent an e-mail to the organizer of this rally, offering whatever help might be needed - no response.
I'll look tomorrow for news reports on it.

I finally got our FTP account to work. So here are some of the pics. I'm sorry it took so long. Madcelt will probably want to post more tonight.
I thumbnailed these to save load time. Click on the picture for a better view.
Our Crowd: (first picture is of some members of Bikers for Bush)
Here are some fun fellows who let Madcelt take their picture.
Their Crowd - MUCH LESS than the 700 reported. Most of the media counted people who were walking PAST these clowns toward the auditorium.

I'm sorry no-one replied to you. They put this thing together fairly quickly. I don't know the person in charge personally, but I know some of the co-sponsors and I'm sure they would have been glad to have your help.

I didn't realize the two groups were that close together. The antis did have a poor showing.

Just great, Helix. Beautiful flags and beautiful people. Yaaay.

Heres some bias. The freakniks, and I don't use that term lightly, came down to our area to take thier photos, and do their interview. Wonder why( not that they needed a CROWD or anything to give them a numbers boost). Unfortunately for them, they were given some choice (and brother it was "choice")words by the guy beside me!!
