Tancredo intros new Immigration Reduction Bill

Send free faxes to encourage support for new immigration moratorium bill ======================================================

Go to: http://www.NumbersUSA.com/fax

The bill is: H.R. 946, Mass Immigration Reduction Act of 2003, introduced by Rep. Tancredo (R-CO) today.

The language is very similar to Tancredo's moratorium bill in the last Congress: HR 2712. It would cut annual legal immigration from the 1 million of the latest year to around 300,000 for five years. It would do this by eliminating chain migration of extended adult family members and the visa lottery. It would also cut out nearly all permanent green cards for skilled workers and would cut refugee admissions by more than half.

Most of you on the Action Buffet (based on your interest survey), you will see:

Action Buffet fax 226 (IN OVERALL NUMBERS TOO HIGH ROOM):

"Immigration Moratorium: Urge your U.S. Representative to support bill cutting legal immigration by two-thirds"

Action Buffet fax 226A (IN OVERALL NUMBERS TOO HIGH ROOM):

"Thank Representative(s) from your state for cosponsoring bill cutting legal immigration by two-thirds"

Co-sponsors at this moment are:

Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) Rep. Nathan Deal (R-GA) Rep. Virgil Goode (R-VA) Rep. Steve King (R-IA) Rep. John Duncan (R-TN ) Rep. San Johnson (R-TX) Rep. Charlie Norwood (R-GA)

We will continually update our recipients lists as new Members sign on to this bill so you can thank them as they do.

America has grown from 203 million in 1970 to 290 million today -- largely because of bloated immigration numbers.

The Census Bureau projects that if Congress does not reduce immigration, we will swell, choke and congest to well more than 400 million in 2050.

Between DemonRats and Republicrats with a yellow streak a mile wide dwon their backs - it has a snowball's chnace in hell of being passed, unless there is an immense groundswell of support.

Given the opposition of Hollyweird, the NEA, and the four major Christian liberal sects - Catholic, Episcopalian, Methodist and Presbyterian, as well as Liberal Jews, the groundswell is likely to be a mere tremor.

There are different ways to derive US Citizenship. You can derive "from the soil" which is still referred to as
Jus Solei (I think it's Latin) so as soon as you are born on US soil you are automatically a US citizen, regardless of your mother and father. Or you can derive citizenship "through the blood", a USC woman or man parents a child who is born outside the US, the child derives his citizenship through the blood ties to his parents.
The last is to become a citizen by Naturalization, holding your hand up and pretending to (in the case of many, I'm sure)swear allegiance to the US.
The requirements for deriving citizenship from the blood and the soil from 1920 - 1960's were very strict and complicated, and physical presence in the US was required of the parents and child in order to prove the right to derive. Naturalization Law is one of the toughest parts of the Immigration Academy for Immigration officers to study and pass. Jus Solei was a useful concept when the country was being "built by immigrants."
But now it is just another reason that hundreds of thousands of women travel to the US to give birth without paying a dime for medical expenses. 18 yr old USC kids can then petition for their parents to get green cards.
In effect, another form of chain migration (anchor babies).

I have used the "action buffet faxes" from NumbersUSA.com and received written responses from the politicians, so they do work in getting your opinions across to them. NumbersUSA is an excellent organization, see the website and sign up for the free faxes. It's easy to use and covers many issues.

That is correct, and the main cause of illegal immigration is the MEXICAN GOVERNMENT.

No, they are not the main cause, just one of them. To me the real culpits in this is the present and past elected officals of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. From the President, Congress, State Governers, State Representives and LEO. Each and everyone of these people could have done their part in stopping the illegals.

If you ask me, the Mexican Govt. is just taking advantage of our stupidity. The citizens that is. We are the one that will have to stop this. Through recall, impeachment or just plain old revolution. Take your pick. But something has to be done.

anchor babies Yes, this is being highly misused. Any person born in US territory should be a US citizen - accept those born to a mother that is in that territory illegally.

The political dynamics of this are fascinating...aside frommthe obvious merits of the bill..for the following reasons......you just might get a lot of members in the Black Caucus signing on to this..because the perceive blacks as being most harmed by immigration, legal and illegal, especially of Latinos and asians....also, many on both parties might sign on to the bill, figuring that it will go nowhere in the Senate..thus they can get a few brownie points....and as the bill catches attention...it'll become MORE popular....most in this country are in favor of it..

NO MORE BENEFITS FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS AT OUR TAXPAYER EXPENSE!!

That was just exactly what Proposition 187 in California was, and it was overwhelmingly approved by California voters. It was shot down by a liberal judge, just like that! Judge Mariana Pfaelzer shot it down, stating that it was "unconstitutional". Our stupid Governor Dimbulb Davis refused to fight for it, though he could have, he still could, but won't. The votes of millions of us, canceled out by one liberal judge. Just another notch in the belt of the pro-illegal alien crowd, at the expense of already overtaxed California.

I recommend www.numbersusa.com. The millions of faxes coming through to these idiots seems to be having an effect, though it's slow to happen.

Yeah, the outcry is growing. There are more in our corner as time goes by. Eventually even politicians will pay attention. They better damn well pay attention to Dr. Phyllis Schlafly of the Eagle Forum. If anyone can turn around an apparent lost cause, it is she. For those who don't know she is the one that almost single-handedly defeated the Equal Rights Amendment when it was what... five states from passing?

No.

I was just laying out the extent of the opposition to any effort to correct any rupturing of our nations borders.

Both Republicans and DemcRATs suport increaed immigration and illegal immigrants for widely differing reasons or this problem wouldn't have reached the level it is at presently.
Even with a supposedly conservative Republican in the White House and after the 9-11 incident, the central government appears to be blissfully somnulent about the crisis on our borders. They even threaten those representatives like Tancredi, who have the courage to attack this crime.

Tell me what I can do to support Tancredi and I'll do it. You want me to write my reps in COngress?? I will and post thier fence-sitting inane and gutless responses right here.

I wonder if it is true that New Mex. DemonCrap Gov. bill (Co-conspirator) richardson is in fact, one of these border babies. I have heard it rumored that...

prior to his birth, his Mexican socialite mother flew from Mexico to So. Ca. so he could be born here...

...his parents lived in Mex. City... where they are are one of the wealthiest banking families in Mex.

He has gone to the finest schools, been placed in the proper circles, lived his entire life in politics...

...was handed his first State Rep. seat by the creation of a "new" district in New Mex. by the Dem. party in Santa Fe, he ran unopposed in the "new (heavily Dem.) district " elections...

...was tapped by Bi))(linton to be UN Ambassador, then Energy Secretary... he was Secretary of Energy (DOE IS Los Alamos labs)...

...scandals break out at labs; secrets said leaked to/stolen by Chinese... When Ho Lee is blamed...kept in solitary for a year... judge throws out all counts but one and Lee signs a plea bargain... judge said govt. lied (misrepresented facts) repeatedly in its case against Lee.

Richarseson begins to publicly distance himself from the Los Alamos Labs scandal...

Meanwhile, things keep turning up missing there, hard drives from sensitive (top-secret) areas mysteriously disappear from the safe for weeks and then suddenly reappear behind the water cooler... Richarseson stays quiet...

... sets sights on Gov. mansion back in banannaville...
defeats (outspends)Republican (John Sanchez)challenger... has majority (Dem) in house and senate...

...wants New Mexico taxes to fund a full time DC office for him...

...wants to give illegals social security and drivers liscences...

...what is next?...WATCH this one!...Hitlary runs and names a Hispanic VP running mate... That would give them a Hispanic and a (sic)woman, two-fer first timers ... the neo-demoncrap platform?... I'm telling you... we all need to watch this slime ball very closely and freep continuously when possible!

Oh, almost forgot... Nobel Peace Prize Nominee! (see below)

...and AlGore thought Richarseson was in "his" corner! ... Bwaahahaahaha!

He is being groomed though, no doubt about that... question is for what?

Ten Congressmen have nominated Energy Secretary Bill Richarson for the Noble Peace Prize, as follows: Reps. Xavier Becerra (CA), Peter Deutsch (FL), Norm Dicks (WA), Harold E. Ford, Jr. (TN), Bart Gordon (TN) Steny
Hoyer, Jr. (MD), James P. Moran, Jr. (VA), Ed Pastor (AZ), Thomas C. Sawyer (OH), & Peter J. Visclosky (IN).

The Washington Post recently reported that the nomination suggested that Sec. Richardson was being groomed to be Al Gore's choice for Vice President.

The Dr. Wen Ho Lee Defense Fund protests Bill Richardson's nomination for the Nobel Peace prize and possible selection as Al Gore's VP. Although he served well in the House from New Mexico and as U. S. Ambassador to the United Nations, his serious mishandling of the Dr. Wen Ho Lee case disputes his qualification for either honor. A Nobel Peace laureate or a candidate to be vice president of the United States should exhibit integrity and resist using people as scapegoats because of political pressures. A Nobel nominee or VP candidate does not leak falsehoods to the media, as he has done. Sec. Richardson justified his suspicions and firing of Dr. Lee on "60 Minutes" and elsewhere last year in part by falsely asserting that Dr. Lee failed polygraph tests.

Contradicting Sec. Richardson, CBS News recently
revealed that the DOE polygraph experts and American Polygraph Association Chairman Richard Keifer say that Dr. Lee passed his polygraph tests "with flying colors" and his results are among the best they have ever seen. This
story and more can be found on the website: www.wenholee.org.

Mr. Richardson's public lies violate Dr. Lee's rights under the Privacy Act.

Last year's Cox Report, which made much of Dr. Lee's involvement in the "Chinese espionage" scare, has been criticized as baloney by respected scientists and many others. During the hysteria, Sec. Richardson should
have shown dignified leadership and not joined in the mayhem by abusing Dr. Lee and terrifying Asian American scientists, engineers, and technicians.

Should anyone be surprised that Asian Americans are now voting with their feet and are avoiding employment and advanced studies at DOE laboratories? Sec. Richardson's actions have damaged the national laboratories and U.S.
science and technological needs. "Taking the accomplishments and skills of Chinese and other Asian Americans for granted but treating them with gaping
double standards, the Government and media should be compelled to overcome their racial-profiling and stereotypes" said Dr. Albert Hoy Yee of Montana,
a fervent supporter of this campaign against Richarson's nomination.

Speaking volumes, the Administration's handling of the CIA/John Deutch case reveals a double standard of justice that puts Asian Americans in jeopardy. The former chief of counterintelligence at Los Alamos National
Laboratory maintains that ethnicity and racial-profiling were the real reasons Dr. Lee was singled out by the Department of Energy, which Sec. Bill Richardson directs.

To press its protest as strongly as possible against Mr. Bill Richardson's Nobel nomination and possible selection as Al Gore's VP, the Dr. Wen Ho Lee Defense Fund is mounting a letter-writing campaign and urges its supporters and friends to express their outrage to The White House and Congress.
