3 contaminated food items found in my last shopping trip
me

Posted on 02/26/2003 8:16:23 AM PST by volchef

Okay freepers, I need your comments. On Tuesday I went on my weekly shop at our local supermarket here in Orlando and something happened to me that has never happened before and I'm curious as to your opinions.

In a package of pudding cups I bought I found that religious prayer cards (christian) had been inserted inside. Then, I opened up a loaf of bread and found that a large black foreign object had been baked into the loaf. Today, I went to the fridge to get a soda and the next can in my pack was completely EMPTY. The can had a small puncture hole in the the bottom, but there is no evidence that the can leaked after it was put in the box.

I'm beginning to get wierded out. Has anyone else had 3 cases of food product contamination like this occur.....they all seem unrelated, but what are the chances of all 3 happening from the same shopping trip??? Also, I've contacted the bread company and returned the pudding to the store (who basically blew me off as a whacko). Should I call the soda company as well? Thanks.

"I smoked a chicken a few months ago..."

I've smoked a lot of different things in my day, but never chicken - did you actually get off?

I know what you mean. I've found all kinds of bad food in my refrigerator. And it could have been in there for months before I discovered it.

If the manufacturer of the packaged food made it clear in some fashion that it was they who put the prayer cards in, that'd be one thing. If they didn't, or if it appeared that the packaging had been compromised in order to put them in, then I'd be worried and not consume the food. Just because they're Christian prayer cards doesn't mean a Christian put them in there.

Sooo.. allowing others to believe what they want rather than what you want them to believe is too much to ask? And if I go to hell God is going to blame it on you?

The problem is that you're making the presumption that the Christian prayer cards were put in the packaging by someone who's a Christian.

Perhaps it was someone who was not a Christian with a perverse sense of humor, wishing to link such a thing with a fatal food adulteration.

The last time I bought Reynolds Wrap to fend of evil deeds I found that someone had poked several holes right through the roll. Sometimes you just can't win. Foiled again... 8~)

Using my product at my risk and my expense to afford you the freely chosen opportunity to be exposed to useful, constructive information you might not otherwise have much convenient access to is not forcing you to abandon nor believe in any belief.

God will hold me accountable for every idle word as His Scriptures say. I can only do what I can do with my flawed person and flawed choices. But I can do what I can do. And I shall try. I'm more concerned about what God thinks of my actions and inactions than what you do.

He happens to have a MORE knowledgeable, accurate, balanced, eternal, wise, perfect, loving, powerful, responsible PERSPECTIVE than you do.

Can't quite equate EMPTY with CONTAMINATED.

Hmmm. There is this movie called "CORNDOG MAN", where an individual is constantly harassed, seemingly at random, but by the same person through different methods. All to the effect that you see the physical and personality changes induced by the stalker..

On second thought, maybe you SHOULDN'T see the movie, but instead get out of Orlando as soon as possible, perhaps moving to an island in the middle of the South Pacific in dire need of chefs, professional or otherwise..
