[history]
The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that a federal racketeering law was improperly used to punish aggressive anti-abortion protesters, a major victory for people who regularly block clinic doors.
The court's 8-0 ruling applies to protests of all sorts, not just at clinics.

Well, I also am willing to make an exception in the case of rape as well, does that make ME pro-abortion?It makes you a terrible, monster of a person who is sure to burn in hell for all eternity. You will wail and gnash your teeth so loudly that your relatives here in The World will hear you and it will keep them awake at night.
(Just kiddin'.)

To: hchutch
I also am willing to make an exception in the case of rapeDitto; I think in such cases abortion is justifiable as self defense.

"self-defense" requires an unjust agressor

Gresham's Law is illustrated here: The bad drives out the good. The good needs to grow some balls and force a new face on the movement. He wins only if you dont show up.

Self-defense of what? The baby is the one that dies. The woman, already a victim, faces countless other complications. How is this self-defense?

"self-defense" requires an unjust agressorMorally or legally? If a person has been thrown off a tall building and will seriously harm me (trapped below) unless I use my missile launcher on him, it may be true that I am morally obligated to accept the serious harm---but it should not be, and as far as I know it is not, legally obligatory.

"dig?"
"dig" you said?
the only digging they are doing is that on their own graves.
estrada is not going away... dems are jumping ship.
fillibuster is going to be FORCED it will make NEWS that democrats are opposing this administration's first HISPANIC to a high level court.
hispanics are NOT like black "lock-step" koolaid drinking democrats.
they will be angry. they will get HOT about it. they will destroy several democrat senators hope for re-election and they will make the news when they ACCUSE the dems of being an extremist, anti-hispanic, racist party... which it is.
dems, run by the blacks... are very afraid that their primary constituency, won't LIKE becoming america's number TWO minority... and second in line for preferential treatments... the blacks will revolt in their own "I'm too tired to go vote" way...
yup.... turning into a hellish year to be a democrat.

Self-defense of what? The mother's bodily integrity; if I were to attempt to do to Jane Doe what pregnancy and childbirth do to a woman, she would be legally justified in killing me to prevent it.

The good needs to grow some balls and force a new face on the movement. He wins only if you dont show up.Easy to say, because you haven't dealt with these idiots. I have. My wife asked me to quit the movement when she started getting threatening phone calls. I hadn't been at any clinic protests; the only folks I'd PO'd were the radical nutballs. I am a former U.S. Marine. I dealt with the threat, and it went away. Few people in the movement have my background.

That would be the rapist, not an innocent baby.

Apllying the statute to anti-abortion protestors was a scam from the get-go. The Clintonistas always knew the supremes would have to overturn them, but they also knew the process would take years. In the meantime, dedicated pro-lifers have been harassed, bankrupted, intimidated and destroyed by liberal criminals abusing the power of their office. I hope those crooks can now receive the same treatment through the court system. Payback is a bitch!

Easy to say, because you haven't dealt with these idiots... True, but I'm also a former Marine so I have a great deal of experience dealing with other idiots...But I digress. My goal is not to demonstrate my support for counter productive tactics; we have our own Reverend Johnson that has divided some in the local pro-life movement. My goal is simply to help you see past this one particular person. This is a good ruling and a good day for the unborn.
To: MrLeRoy
You have a great point. At 4 months in an adult woman, there is some outward physical change, but not a significant one. As it proceeds, organs move, the hips change shape, and nothing works quite the way it did before. In a 9 year old, the changes wrought would be phenomenal, and likely life threatening and visible to all(except for a committee of politically appointed reviewing hacks makes a tepid recommendation to the church and government).
Don't kid yourself - for the true believers, once someone is raped, there should be no D&Cs as part of the rape kit, no RU-486, nothing, because that might disturb the pregnancy that might be taking place.
