The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that a federal racketeering law was improperly used to punish aggressive anti-abortion protesters, a major victory for people who regularly block clinic doors.

The court's 8-0 ruling applies to protests of all sorts, not just at clinics.

In the case of that abortion in Nicaragua, there is also a compelling case to be made that the life of the mother is also at stake (I do not think a nine-year old can SURVIVE a pregnancy, albeit I am not a doctor).

Careful with your "probably more than you have."

Among many other things, I founded a statewide network of churches that support women before and after birth, and after abortion - this network has helped scores of women within its first 4 years of being started and has drawn hundreds of everyday people into the pro-life movement.

I do it all. I compassionately assist moms and babies, I boldly protest, I hopefully but sorrowfully pray, I loudly inform, I quietly persuade, and when neessary I agitate for change.

What I do NOT do is tell others that one form or another of non-violent pro-life action is bad.

Maybe, or maybe this will encourage other, less abrasive pro-life people to publicly take up the cause. Remember, the media will always find the most outrageous representative they can in order to define any movement they disagree with. If Scheidler went away today they would be happy to dig up someone just like him and parade him or her around as the face of the pro-life or “anti-choice” movement. Remember how they tried to frame all pro lifers as giving tacit if not outright approval to the shooting of abortion Doctors?

Bottom line is that this was a misapplication of the RICO and Hobbs acts and was rightly overturned.

I haven't, and this leaves me extremely disappointed in Fox. They're wasting endless time on the Blake Murder Trial and no mention of this significant development in the stopping of the murder of the unborn.
