Hatch -- having a tough time not swearing! Leahy really pushed his hot buttons.
Why the double standard for Estrada. Tough time answering that one.
Since he has never been a judge how do they know how his judicial tempermament is. What are you going to believe what is in writing or off the cuff remarks from a liberal RAT!
These guys buy it lock, stock, and barrel -- Hispanic Bar members! They are prejuding this man! Most biased, uninformed, stupid, dumb letter he has ever read for partisan purposes.

Sen. Arlen Specter, a Pennsylvania Republican and key member of the Judiciary Committee, called the debate "a prelude to the nomination of the next justice of the Supreme Court." Somehow I doubt that.
I think it will come before Nov. '04, and it will be very embarrassing for the dems to go after Justice Janice Rogers Brown.
Since May 2, 1996, Janice Brown has been an Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court. From November 4, 1994, she was an Associate Justice of the Third District Court of Appeal in Sacramento.
From January 7, 1991, to November 1994, Ms. Brown served as Legal Affairs Secretary to Governor Pete Wilson. The job included diverse duties, ranging from analysis of administration policy, court decisions, and pending legislation to advice on clemency and extradition questions. The Legal Affairs Office monitored all significant state litigation and had general responsibility for supervising departmental counsel and acting as legal liaison between the Governor's office and executive departments.
Prior to joining Governor Wilson's senior staff, Brown was an associate at Nielsen, Merksamer, Parrinello, Mueller & Naylor, a government and political law firm.
Before joining the firm in January 1990, Brown served for two and a half years as Deputy Secretary and General Counsel for the state's Business, Transportation and Housing Agency, working primarily with business regulatory departments. Brown came to BT&H after eight years (1979-1987) in the Attorney General's Office, where she worked in both the criminal and civil divisions.
From 1977 to 1979, Brown worked for the Legislative Counsel.

Being more unwilling to confirm a conservative Hispanic than a conservative non-Hispanic amounts to bias.

Hatch tearing apart the [Saddam-like] fake Lib arguments.
Hatch didn't mention Saddam, but I think the Lib's arguments are like Saddam's. They dicker, and miss the major points.

As this liberal says, we can only hope!
"What happens over the next year or two could well determine what will be the law of the land for the next 20 or 30 years," said Ralph G. Neas, president of People for the American Way, a liberal advocacy group.

Sen Hatch tearing this letter to shreds -- red herring -- double standard about sharing background papers.
I love Hatch-- Give me a break! Number of RATs refuse to talk to Estrada! Why is that so? Why is this Hispanic, indendent thinker, being treated this way?

Called the letter garbage and a disgrace for the people that signed the letter from the Hispanic bar.
Aggravated! Fought hard to clinton's nominees -- very fair (no kidding!). I expect fairness to be given to this President's nominees. Didn't agree with clinton nominees ideology but gave them a vote.
ABA gave Estrada the highest rating they can. Disappointed by the RATs on the other side. They don't have a good argument to make so they (RATs) make a phony argument.
Stooping low to say the ABA rating was stacked!

Hatch: Libs' phony argument that want papers from Solicitor General. Never been done.
Some libs won't even talk to Estrada, a Hispanic Independent thinker.
Disgraceful. Partisan.
Hatch is "aggravated." He fought for Clinton's nominees and wants fairness for Bush's nominees.
"Other side" making phony argument that Estrada's ABA rating was somehow rigged.
