>>>...the French have had many military victories.
Yeah, --- they beat everyone in sight. Even Napoleon was Italian. Nothing since then.

Napolean was Corsican, not Italian.

Plus, don't forget, they kicked the stuffings out of themselves during the French Revolutions.

Battle of the Marne, 1914. Turned back the Germans and saved Paris at a cost of 250,000 casualties. No the Americans weren't there. And according to Barbara Tuchman's Guns of August, the contribution was minimal. Time to bone-up on military history.

Oops. Tuchman said the British contribution was minimal.

And IF good old Nappy had been born during the 20th century, you can bet that he would have owned at least one Corvette just to make up for his obvious "short-comings".

The most important victory was in 732 AD at Tours when Charles Martel beat back a moslem invasion of Europe.
I know it was a long time ago but think of the ramifications if the Franks had lost that battle.

So? The French decided they were too good to have any balls in 1820 or so. Why fight when you can eat cheese, drink wine, and smoke cigarrettes through a filter? Especially when there are at least two nations with balls of steel bound to come to your aid whenever the Germans invade.

I got such a laugh when I saw this one.
KEEP UP THE GOOD HUMOR.

>>So?<<
All I did was state a fact and was not sticking up for them.
I will say what bothers me just as much is the American leftist (street vermin) who were out in OUR streets this last weekend. This hits close to where we live. I really don't care about those ingrates in France.
The Franks were actually a Germanic tribe so I guess this could muddy the water a little.

That must have cleaned out their gene pool.
