With all due respect, I'll be catching this when it comes to cable. Not one dime of my money will find it's way into Ted Turner's pocket.

It occurs to me that when there's a buck to be made, the biggest anti-US malcontents suddenly find core values and religion easy to palet. Now if Ted can just keep his mouth under control for a month or two it will be a miracle.

Is this a futile effort? If you subscribe to cable, chances are that some of your money will find its way to pay for TNT, TBS, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network, CNN, etc. So if you want to see it on cable, some of your money will still go towards him. A bit less, but still some. I'd rather see it on the big screen, and I plan to the first chance I can Friday.

As much as I despise Turner, I will be seeing this film soon, appreciating that he put a financial stake into the film. The chances he will make a dime out of this epic effort are very slim, and truth be told, I will be far happier that he earn money with this film than I am about how he earned most of the remainder of his fortune.

Tuner is complex and speaks before he thinks. He is international in his vision, but has little expertise on how marxism can hijack his vision.
I pray for him, that he gets his soul healed.

Here I was all this time, thinking it had been made for TV.
I might watch it when it does come on.

I am a big Civil War fan, and loved Gettysburg, even though the movie was almost as long as the actual battle. But I'm with you, I will not give that socialist bastard one cent of my money.
