Just got off the phone with Firebrand. The NYPD is jerking us around as usual. We are allowed to go through only on 40th street and will have to converge at the corner of 41st street and 1st avenue.I am updating the hotline 917-387-8865 of any changes.

I will try to post with my pocket pc from the location as soon as I get there. Getting in my car and will try to drive into Manhattan.

I saw one FOX5 cameraman spend at least a couple of minutes standing in the street filming us. I pointed him out to a couple of people and said that I hoped the footage would get passed along to the network.

I don't know if there were. I'm sure the NYPD visited the apartment because the Sargent kept his eye on the window. I believe he was waiting for one of his officers to appear at the window to confirm they were visiting the right place.

That was sauropod posting under my name last night (guess he forgot to log me out).

I was sound asleep by nine. Hadn't had much sleep since Wednesday (too much work to clear off, too be free for this weekend), and the only thing keeping me awake after the rally yesterday was white wine and adrenalin.

Thanks for the ride home yesterday. It's truly amazing, the trail of garbage those people left behind them. Ignorant, hateful, spoiled brats. I resent their sucking up air in my city. I really do.

For one thing, we need to find out who those 1,000 pro Bush portesters at Columbus circle were and whether we can contact them and coordinate our activities. If we can do that on a nationwide basis even better. I hope all Freepers out there do some research and post your results. Anything anyone can find out about the rally at Columbus Circle will be welcomed. The left thrives in being united under umbrella organizations and bringing together as many disparate left organizations to achieve an end. We need to learn to do the same.

I agree with your statements above. The left is so damn organized, it's sickening. Imagine the impact if we had known about those 1,000 like-minded counter-protestors at Columbus Circle. For future rallies, it could be far more effective to plan strategically and come forward as a united front with groups like this, rather than in fragmented small groups.

GREAT photos, BTW! Wonderful to see Curtis Sliwa at the FR rally... so glad we've got him on OUR side.
